Pre-built M4 MRP (Monolithic Rail Platform) - 56K death!

Snagged from UKASC:

"If you have ever wanted a pre-built Airsoft MRP you will be pleased to know that the BestGun project is finished. They claim to have invested over USD 250k into the project and are only going to be producing 100 peices of this beast per month. News in courtesy of Corporal."

Official Website: http://www.thebestgun.com/?ukasc

What will $600 USD ($530 US if preordered) get you?
(1) One piece CNC Aluminum of Upper Receiver + Handguard Rail
(2) Quick Change Barrel System
(3) Tactical Butt Stock. (Battery storage.)
(4) Realistic front sight and rear sight.

On to the gun pr0n:

Nice, but I'm not too hot about the stock or airsoft markings, although I guess they could be covered.

Bottom receiver seems to be included too.
Not bad for a whole gun less the mech box.

What I found funny was the logo on the airsoft upper (Li We Machine + Toy Co.) looks an AWFUL lot like the real-steel counterparts (Lewis Machine + Tool Co.). Must have been done intentionally.

See for yourself on the real deal:

If you look at the website, it ways the lower is not included - just the upper, the barrel, and the sights and stock.

Too bad still a nice find though lowers are easy enough to grab.
http://www.thebestgun.com/MRP.php

says on the site there up top that the lower+butt stock is included n from the pic in the first post it says a detailed receiver too n looks to be included but I might be missing something.

Hmm....it appears to contradict itself, as it says 2 different things in 2 different places.

In any case, for $1500 CDN or so (this kit + Systema complete mechbox + hopup unit + tightbore inner barrel + motor, plus associated shipping and brokerage) you could have a hella nice full-metal gun.

Compare @ $500 for TM M4, $80 for tightbore, $300 for hopup and metal body, $125 for 1-peice outer barrel, $250 for RIS/RAS, $100 for folding front + rear sights, $200 for internal upgrades (spring, bushings, etc.), and then tack on shipping for all the above...it's not that far off.

Yeah pretty damn reasonable indeed
Looks killer too, and has got to be tough as nails built the way it is.
I wonder who'll be importing them first

The trades on the right side are certainly a major turn off for me. They'd have been better off leaving it blank. It's not as if they'd have to worry about being sued. My VFC M203 has full LMT and KAC trades and they're in Taiwan, so WTF?

Yeah nice as hell, but I wouldn't buy it specifically based on the trades.

CNC'd from a single piece of aluminum?? Sweet. That's a lot of scrap metal they're creating =)

So much for barrel wobble...

I really like this direction for airsoft. I drool over some of the small shop real steel makers out there who create great looking uppers. Love it. I suspect you could ask a smaller company like these guys to leave one out of the labelling process for you if the trades were a bother.

Its says on UKASC that Bestguns spend 250K USD on this project. I preferd if the gas block wasn't exposed like that and recessed inside like the CQB version.

Looks like it comes almost as a complete gun. All it needs is a gearbox, motor, some mags and a battery.
