Exclamation GBB Glock Magazine Compatibility Chart!

Hey ASC!

Have a Glock GBB from Tokyo Marui? WE? Or from one of the various other brands of glorious Glocks?

Curious as to whether "X" company's Glock magazines are compatible with your particular model?

WELL LOOK NO FURTHER!

After some very thorough testing, a very well respected friend and airsofter within the community passed on some very useful information regarding the compatibility of Glock magazines between Tokyo Marui, WE-Tech, KJ Works, APS, KSC, and Stark Arms/VFC.

I've put it all into a nice and easy to read chart, hopefully its of use to the community!

Ps. Slight note on APS magazines in Stark Arms/VFC Glocks... while it somewhat works, slide must be locked back for the magazine to lock in, but is still quite iffy and somewhat of a hit or miss.

Some of this information may be incorrect, for example the reason that WE mags don't work 100% in TM guns is that they have stronger valve springs. If you add a 150% hammer spring to a TM Glock it can run WE mags no problem, even in hot weather.

Good to know, I'll pass it on and update with a note. Work on them quite often, but I'm not much of a Glock user personally. I believe they were testing 100% compatibility straight out of the box vs compatibility after a bit of work or upgrades.

Usually his reviews are for new releases and oriented towards newer players who are less experienced and don't bother with tech work on their own. I've seen many a player who can't even figure out how to wind a hicap in an AEG, let alone change a hammer spring.

That said, feel free to correct or mention any recommendations, another friend of mine brought up something else so I've got a small list atm. But since I've got the info and already threw the chart together, might as well try to make it as accurate as possible.

It's a good basis... of course it won't have EVERY detail in there.

It should just be a generic chart for factory X glock with X magazine.

Can you fix the feed lips to make the FPS more consistent?

Depends on the off-spec measurements. You can generally shim the rubber gasket at the feed lip to be more flush with the nozzle but if the distance is too great the next choice is to switch magazines or try to switch the feed lips but those are also potentially proprietary specification.

I've got some stark mags (skeleton sidearms rebrand ones) and they seem to work fine in my we, but the gas route bucking is different than the we. One is curved, one is flat. Off hand I can't remember which had what though :-/

My we mags don't fit nice in my old kjw g23/32 though. They have a nub on the back that blocks them from going in. Forcing them will get them in. I don't have a small enough we to try the kjw mags in them.

mag compatibility also depends on the size/model of gun

TM mags need to have the bump on the back ground down for some other models

I believe (from experience) that to use a WE G19 magazine on a KJW G23, you need to either file the "bump" off from the back of magazine, or carve a slot in the magwell.

Does removing the bump make the WE mag not work in a WE?

No, it will still work in We with the bump removed.
I modified the kjw magwell rather than the We magazine because I was planning to get just one kjw G23 but several We G19 magazines.
