G&P MP5 Midcap Quality
For the G and P Mp5 midcaps, I have a few questions
1. Are they made of metal like the TM lowcaps, or plastic like STAR mags 2. How reliable is it? shit? or on par with a TM lowcap Thanks |

better external durability than tm. tm uses "painted" finish on theirs and it gets scuffed up, falls away. no problem if you like the weathered look, but if it catches a glint of sunlite and reflects your position, big problem! the g&p uses a heat-treated metal that doesn't fade or scuff, similar to spring steel. feeding in mine are no problem, except that about the last 5 rounds don't come out (not enough spring tension to bring the follower all the way to the top). but the first 95 come out no problem. if only their m4 mags fed as well. i use tm, star and g&p for my mp5 and all feed good, but g&p are by far the most durable.

Simply put, Friggin amazing.
NO complaints of any sort. I consider G&P MP5 Mid Caps far better then TM mags. |

G&P MP5 midcaps are great. They don't wobble in my TM MP5 like my TM locap does. No jams yet, and the extra bb capacity over the locap is very useful. Only problem, like the other guy said, is not all of the 100 bb's get pushed out when in the gun. So when your gun starts dry firing, and you pull the mag out, there are still bb's in it.

I second the rest of your statement though, external quality is far better than TM magazines. |

I have the G&P MP5 midcaps as well and they are incredible as far as the finish goes, almost looks like real gun steel (as in the finish). And they feed perfectly. I see above some guys have problems with the last 5 BBs not feeding out of it, mine both have one single BB remaining in the mag (because they have a different follower than the TM ones, TM has the nipple that pushes the last BB out, the G&P ones don't. Not a big deal though, all my mags I load 8-10 red 0.12g BBs into first, then the regular 0.25g BBs. When I get close to the end, I see red "tracers", I reload. Saves wear on my mechbox (less dry firing) and let's me know if one of my midcaps is empty or full. Sucks to pull a midcap out, see a white BB, load it and find it's empty. Simple and it works amazing, I've used this method for about 6 months now.

Ill just recommend an alternative
the Star Mp5 mags are fantastic. The dull black tone of the plastic is excellent. just as a cost effective alternative |

Star MP5 Mags are really great but the problem is that they are a little hard to load at first. I've had one or two mags that are inconsistant when I use semi auto but thats OK since Its easily corrected when I use full auto

-_-
G&P mp5 mid caps are amazing.
No feeding problems, full metal, and fits right in the magwell. The external color finish is bout right. They are cheaper compare to TM ones too. Had them in my old ICS MP5A4 and my friend's TM MP5A4. No problems. |

G&P midcaps are good, I have one for my mp5k, feeds great (last round or two doesn't feed.. whatever) only problem i've seem with them is they can rust. Koopa got his wet and left it orhwatver happened and his is all rusty, like he went dumpster diving for it.. Performance wise, awesome mags.

MY TM is a bit sloppy in the magwell of my ICS MP5, however, the G&P's are nice and tight. That's the first step in avoiding feeding issues. Definitely recommended.

Sorry for the thread necromancy but I have two questions.
How do the G&P mags fit with a Classic Army MP5? Secondly and a little off topic does anyone know what company the re-branded Velocity Arms MP5 mags are? Are they any good? |
