Package Forwarding from USA
Hey everyone.
So I was just wondering if anybody had any experience with package forwarding services. So how it works is the service provides you an address within the continental US that you can ship to (because of usually free shipping). The service then forwards the parcel through customs to a Canadian address. Some examples I found were: http://www.borderlinx.com/CA/en/ http://myusaddress.ca/ Has anybody used services similar to these? What were your experiences like and/or your recommendations? Thanks all! |

Bump? Nobody? I'm not looking to do guns or stuff that would be questionable; just that Amazon.com is so much cheaper for some items, but the fees to ship to Canada were 3 times the cost of the items, so I'm looking for an alternative.

Hmm. No experience with a service like this, but I tried their calculator based on a recent Amazon.com order I did and their prices are about twice as much as what I paid for shipping and duties. They also are guaranteed to charge taxes and duty, whereas with Canada Post I find it's hit and miss.

I've used reship plenty of times. It can get expensive, but they have shipping calculators on their website too. You should be able to ask the retailer the size and weight of the box being shipped to have a general estimate of how much reship will cost you.
A word of caution though, most, if not all, reshippers don't like to reship gun parts and accessories - including optics. I've gotten away without any issues, but it's a risk that it won't get to you. Hope this helps. |

Thanks guys, especially Shade!
They're just goggles, no parts or anything gun related, so I don't think I need to worry too much, although I guess I should be worried about my order being lost in the mail due to CP with that thread blowing up a bit recently... |
