Wasn't going to post this but...

This took a bit to put together so what the hell, right?

This is my take on Tokyo Marui's M9A1. The Wilson Combat 92G.

-NOVA G10 Wilson Combat Grips (OD)
-NOVA Aluminum front and rear sights (Wilson Type)
-KM Stainless Steel Sear
-KM Stainless Steel Disconnector
-KM Steel Hammer
-KM Stainless Steel hammer strut
-A+ Stainless Steel 6.01 inner Barrel for Marui M9A1
-A+ Hop Up Bucking for Marui M9A1
-Nineball Piston DYNA Piston Head for Marui M9A1
-Nineball Steel Recoil Spring Guide
-Guarder High Flow Valve
-Firefly Floating Valve w/ FV Spring for Marui M9A1
-Modified Hammer Spring
-Modified Guarder Glock 17 Recoil Spring

This gun shoots hot at 330 - 338 FPS on propane and .20g BB Bastards.

The M9 is still pretty tough to put together. Even though this is the version with newly designed blowback unit and lower hammer chasis, it's still pretty annoying to put back together.

THe NOVA kit itself was ok. It's not their finest work in terms of fit but I'd still say it's a pretty decent kit to own. It comes with a lot of stuff including a a set of G10 grips. Justifies the cost I guess. Plus it's still pretty to look at (heh).

Weird that the inner sticks out like that though, is there something shorter?

Nah.
That's the standard stock length inner barrel.

The 92G outer barrel is shorter than the stock barrel. That's why I the inner barrel sticks out.

I've gotten a bit lazy and just left the inner barrel as/is instead of cutting it...

Love M9s (but hell, any pistol e-luder builds is sexy). Those are some sexy sights too.

Noticed that as well Steve. Looks almost like the outer is sliding on the inner when you cock it back but that wouldn't make sense (would it?).

Edit: E, but all the other pics other than the ones with the slide locked back show the inner sitting inside the outer. Why just the ones with it locked back show the inner extending past the outer?

It's just how the slide assembly works.

The ourter barrel is being pulled by the hop unit who is being pulled by the loading nozzle who is being pulled by the BBH who is being pulled by the slide action.

...you know...like a train. lol.

That's why the outer barrel retracts.
As I stated before, the 92G barrel is shorter than the M9A1 outer barrrel.
And the inner barrel i installed is for the standard length.

That's why it sticks out when the slide is charged.
I was really lazy to cut to the inner barrel. It's only a few cm's off spec anyways and only really shows when the slide catch is engaged. I can live with it for now.....

Ah, that would explain it. I'm used to M9's having the entire barrel assembly move back and forth together with the hop up unit instead of just the outer barrel. New design?

I would not consider that a new design, per se. I can't remember if the older M9s did this, to be honest with you.

What's new on the Marui M9A! barrel assembly specifically (compared to the pold M9 barrel assemblies) is the inclusion of the inner to outer barrel spacer (the silver thing around the inner barrel in the pic above) and an adjustable hop up.

but sadly, the retailer's supplier did not include that barrel spacer when they modded the gun for Canadian soil. And the retailer themselves did not receive that extra part to send me when I bought the platform. So I can't definitively say that the missing piece would make a difference in regards to this topic. But my hypothesis is that the missing piece would probably stabilize that inner barrel a bit better than the old system did helping in regards to things like accuracy...

Hi! Just want to ask how you managed to install the rear sight. Mine was pretty loose and the small screw if tightened would prohibit the nozzle from cycling properly. Thanks.
