What's it off? The end piece might be threaded in, so you can get an adapter to adds threads.

Looks like the end of a VSR10 or clone, should be able to take it off and install a threaded -14mm adapter.

Not much a better pic, but I'd be willing to bet the end cap is threaded in. Probably superglued in, but threaded. I can't guess if it's a cw or ccw thread though

There is no end cap. It is simply not threaded.

Is that some kind of bull barrel on some kind of AR build? Is your barrel that diameter all the way back to the receiver or are we possibly looking at an already existing attachment that you could just replace?

Some more information on what make/ model your gun is, and some more pictures of the whole thing/ front end assembly (that aren't taken in a dark room with the flash on) would really help.

Have the barrel cut down & threaded. Few min job on lathe. Just would need to be removed from rifle.

Where are you located? any machine shop should be able to do that for you. If your within the gta area, I could maybe do it...

Would it be a good idea to use a hand die? And what hand die should I use if I were to use one?

You would have to first turn the barrel down to the correct diameter. There's no way you're doing this without putting that barrel on a lathe.
