Pistol Blowback Housing replacement

Hi,

This is again related to the SW40F problems I had earlier
http://airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=172859

I don't know if I should use the same post because now it became a more specific problem that we narrowed down.

The pistol that had the problem seem to went away, but after a dozen shots, it starts leaking again. take the mag out, insert it, another 6-12 rounds and then leak.

So this time, we switched the new cybergun sw40f's blowback housing into the kwc sw40f (the cybergun has a better piston head than the kwc surprisingly, kwc is plastic without o-ring, cybergun is metal with o-ring). The gun now fires perfectly firing 2 mags with no jam, leak. Which means it's probably the piston head or the entire housing is at fault.

The real question is:

Where can I find a place to buy piston head for sw40f that's won't cost my friend an arm and a leg to just ship it here..I tried googling and many airsoft websites both canada and USA and no help at all (is all pistol piston heads compatible? because all of the piston heads listed are for guns like 1911 and stuff, never says sw40f)

If I have to replace his blowback housing entirely, where can I get one that is for sw40f? again, I cant find it...

it's almost like you can't find replacement parts for this guns..The only place is probably ehobby, but the sheer amount of shipping is making it pointless.

Parts? Probably better off just buying a new one for $100 - 150 and doing that... but probably same problems later on.

Maybe just need a new pistol in general? lol.

like i said, the shipping does make it seem really pointless..

however, he basically got "scammed" on craigslist buying that pistol..it fired a few shots and it never want to work ever again(I don't buy GBBs on craigslist, it's too much crap, AEGs are okay for cheap prices and then fix myself). But again, this was when we are starting out last year. He just never touched the pistol after the first time we used it on the field and it stopped working and leaking all over the place.

When he brought back the pistol for 120 dollars with 3 mags. I looked at it and it has HEAVY wear all over the place. It's like every time that dude reloaded, he dropped the mags on the floor or something. was not impressed.

So he'd rather replace that one faulty part and get it going again rather than spending another 100-150 dollars for a new pistol. At one point he was using my childhood spring pistol somehow still works perfectly on the field LOL..until he lost the mag for that on the field somewhere -_-

This guy has one for $125, could negotiate a price.

Just saying, might be the easiest solution since he has 3 mags for it already.

haha, if he could sell the pistol under this condition, and someone is willing to fix and use it, then i doubt he will ever buy a sw40f. just because of the design of the pistol is kinda weird.

He thought it was a glock and he bought it XD, and keep on telling me it's a glock to the point where I have to pull up wiki pages to show him it's not a glock....then he is kinda upset.. i ruin people's dreams.

yeah, probably buy a new pistol or something if it really comes down to that, but what I really want to know is that GBB pistol piston heads are mostly the same or are they different and won't be compatible to different guns..I guess it depends more on the housing.. :/

No, they are not the same nor compatible among most pistol models.
It is hard to find parts for your gun because it is KWC and it is SW40.
In addition to buying a new gun, there is something else you may try:

I guess I COULD try that since I can read and write in simplified and traditional chinese characters...

this seems to be way too complicated LOL...it really feels like a major "fuk u" when they made these products but don't offer much replacement parts..It's kinda weird that nobody even made third party upgrade parts for these things..

brands like KJW has tons of parts you can find easily and they are also based in taiwan aren't they. I guess I will ask local trigger airsoft tmw when I'm going to that area anyway and buying a few things from them.

KJW get a lot of aftermarket parts because many of their stuff are TM based and TM is popular.
KSC/KWA get some aftermarket parts also because it is good and popular.
Even some not fully TM compatible guns of WE get some aftermarket parts because it is cheap and popular.
But not many people like KWC...

Wait for the next TA mystery box. Your buddy will at least get a pistol that's better.
