Do not cheap out on a lipo charger. Budget for 150-200 for a charger.

Do you have a local RC/hobby shop? That's usually your best bet to go to get a charger if you're not too familiar with them.

Don't worry too much about the price. I used to think the same way, till I started using those cheap V3 lipo chargers from airsoftparts... they balance better than my $200 fancy charger.

The IMAX B6AC only costs about the same as the charger that you linked, and a ton of people use those.

IMax B6 is the best little balance charger ever.

Available at Hobbyking for about $35-ish. Order through the U.S. Warehouse though. The option will appear under the item on the sale page.

Be careful. The real Imax B6 is made by SkyRC. This is a popular low cost charger that have many clones (pure junk). The clones will burn down your house.

Excellent video! I now know why my first B6 charger is broken... It's fake!

Glad to see the one I just purchased second hand is a real one.

Heard lots of good things about the B6 as well, though I don't own one.

Although I do have an expensive LiPo charger for RC batteries, and have owned a few other brands which turned out to be crap, I also picked up a couple of these and have had zero issues with them, recommended even though they are inexpensive:

I have a knockoff b6 and it charges lipos just fine. Doesn't charge Nimh batteries worth a damn though. That being said, YMMV and to be fair I am going to replace it with a real one.

I have a random Tenegry charger for 3-4 years, probably 100+ charge cycles, no issues... $30..

Just to be safe I do keep it in the unfinished basement away from anything flammable..

charger

I would spend money as mentioned above on a good quality charger if you plan on playing for along time..

look at the Hitec X1 Touch, 55-Watt AC/DC Multi-Chemistry Charger. Most RC stores carry them in Canada..myself and the rest of the squad i'm in carry the older model and there awesome, no problems with them at all..

good luck..
