Problems with Hardwired Burst Wizzard 3

I have my burst wizzard 3 hardwired as discibed in the instructions but when I plug in the battery it fires full auto until the battery is unplugged. I have tried the factory reset command but nothing seems to solve the problem. Also the LED light is solid red I'm using a 7.4 Lipo btw.

The + wire from the battery goes to one side of the trigger swith then on to the motor . The - wire goes directly to the motor and the red lead wire from the BW3 go to the opposite side of the trigger switch from the + battery wire.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the trigger circuit is closing somewhere. Check for pinches or shorts in the wiring.

I dont see any shorts anywhere,

the way it is wired the battery is connected directly to the battery. its as if the BW3 is not even there and Im connecting the battery directly to the motor.

seems like the trigger function is no existent .

frustrating

I have tried the factory reset command on the BW3 also. and it is connected to the AEG side then the battery plugs into the BW3

It's a short, had the same issue with a raptor I had in my m14 soon as you plugged in the battery full auto she goes. Mine was caused by water damage but the fact out of the box it was not working sucks man.

Won't be a software issue. Only other cause would be the mosfet is fused shut, which typically only happens if you solder right on the mosfet itself and cook it.

When I ordered it it was pre soldered with the lead wire already , I requested it this way as to not fry the board soldering it myself.

Im guessing maybe they did something wrong when they soldered it.

I cant find any shorts anywhere. everything seems fine with the wiring in the gearbox.

So I got in touch with the Burst Wizzard folks, they where very quick to reply to my inquiry ( Thumbs up for that).

They advised to test the voltage on the trigger wire and if it is over 1v or so then there is voltage leeking. I assume they mean it is leaking from the + to the trigger wire at the trigger switch and making the BW3 think the trigger is cloased.

They advised to install a 1k resistor on the Red+ lead between the Burst Wizzard 3 and the battery.

Does this make sence to anyone ? Is it not bad to add resistence to the battery ?
