Can anyone recommend a good tac light for under 60 or 70 bucks that has a pressure switch and a strobe feature?

Strobe is overrated when you have a pressure switch that allows you to create your own strobe rhythm, like a boss.

If strobe isn't a huge deal breaker then I'd suggest the Element Surefire M300a or M600c replicas. Work horses that don't quit and they give you a whole lot of fuck-you-and-your-eyes light. Has a very sensitive pressure/tape switch so you can self-strobe, again, like a boss.

On the subject of flashlights, I've been seeing these Ultrafire ones popping up here and there. They've been advertising crazy lumen counts and a decent amount of features for a pretty low price. Anyone have experience with these?

There Ultrafire flashlights usually over exaggerate on the lumens. If its like 900 lumens its probably 600 lumens...still freaking bright though. No warranty really and there are some knockoffs of them that probably go to 300-500 lumens, again still freaking bright.

Recently bought a Fenix PD35 with separate tape switch (out of their "damages packaging" section for a discount)

Great build quality, crazy bright and throw,
has separate button for brightness setting / strobe (quite efficient at distraction with alternative patterns), * good plus for me

Works with 2xCR123 or 1x18850

Only downside, it cannot stand on the tailswitch

Bought from fenixoutfitters.ca (may be a typo in there, Google will find it for you :P), great service from these guys and fast shipping

I have used a Maglite XL100 & XL200, both run on 3 AAA batteries, are under $50. Both have various functions including an adjustable Strobe, brightness settings, etc. it has done the job for me all these years.

I would highly recommend watching this video if you have not before https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V78tH6aVpuM

It is a really good insight into flashlights.

I run a TK15 in a ALG01 mount on my C8. No complaints with the light itself, though I would prefer a more low profile mount.

I have 3 Fenix lights. (PD22, TK15, TK35). I use the TK15 with my rifle for night games and it's great. Great quality brand. They've gotten wet, dunked in water, knocked around, and work awesome. And the output on them is great. I use the TK15 and TK35 all the time on my acreage at night as well. They go for hundreds of meters.

In that price range, go Fenix, or save and move to Inforce WML or Surefire, not clones.
