G&g ak-74

Hey folks,

I just purchased one of those fancy Top Tech G&G AK-74s (GK-74s?), with the LiPo built in to the handguard. I have to say, I'm super impressed with it so far. Rate of fire is nuts (guess that's what an 11.1 LiPo gets you), accuracy and range were great out of the box, and the blowback gives it a touch of recoil and a nice sound. The steel and wood both feel great, much better than other AKs I've owned (I've only owned cheap ones), so, I'm really happy with the purchase overall so far.

I haven't seen or heard much about these things though, so I was wondering if anyone else owned or had used one. Any thoughts on long-term performance and maintenance? Are these proprietary batteries going to give me problems?

My only concern so far is that the battery (which is built in to the removable foregrip) doesn't seem to lock in to place quite well enough. I got it feeling pretty secure, but, I'm concerned that a day of running around and doing my usual acrobatic ninja moves will dislodge it. We'll see how it goes.

Anyway! If anyone has comments or experience with the gun, I'd love to hear it.
