Mp7 setup

What are your thoughts?

I have a banshee thy I swap the pouches back and forth between my m4 and mp7. So I was wondering. Mayflower quad mp7 pouch? Or 4 HSGI extended pistol pouches??

Somewhere down the line. I'll buy a rig. And put these on it

Not in your choices... But Check for the blue force gear mp7 rig.... Might end up cheaper than the mayflower quad pouch... Mine cost me nearly 150$ after UPS rape fees...

Both brands are high quality, the mayflower open top mp7 pouch is sale for around 50$ and eachs tacos are sale for around 30$ each.

It's your call, I think both choices are very good.

I liked the open top system when I had a mp7 !

Haven't even heard of that. Looks nice. This is for 20 rd mags. Not the extended 40 rd for the mp7. BUT it says it allows for depth adjustment. So not sure how it would work

run kangaroo pouches so you don't have to go back and forth?
Or taco's, they'll hold just about anything

pistol tacos will be fine to hold short mp7 mags. there's a slight issue with using them for the long mags because there's a lip on the mag that will sit on the top of any taco you use the normal pistol or the new long ones. The long mag won't sit in the taco all the way down.

So stay away from the HSGI ones??

If this is the case then you made my decision a lot easier. Looks like I'll be going mayflower. Or kangaroo

You can use them and in a pinch but I'd rather mags sit deeper or be covered more

Hsgi does have extended pistol tacos now, which will hold you mags just fine and be deep enough. They are solid pouches.

So maybe there back on the table.

I have used the BFG Quad MP7 pouch (40rds) and have had no issues....One Shot Tactical sale them. Prices range from $29-$52.

The whole point of this build or setup will be speed. My ideal set up would've been some sort of chest rig with nothing on it but molle. And then Eventually put the extended tacos on it. And run a belt for pistol. But if these tacos are gunna cause problems cuz I'm running the 40rd mags. Then they're a no go. So I need the second fastest pouches for the front of this rig.

Although the mayflower is a popular option. Is does look to be slower because of the retention straps. But I get we don't wanna lose mags. And with these mags costing $50 a piece I may be in that boat. But the bfg quad seems to be a faster reload. As long as the 40rd mag sits tight

the problem with any long pouch where they can sit deeper is that lip around the middle of the mag. If the purpose of tacos is having a universal pouch, it doesn't make much sense to buy specific long tacos and not be able to use them for anything else unless you use an mp5 or tommy gun, g18 or vector.

Regular pistol tacos fit the long mags but you get a lot of the mag sticking out the top so it can get caught on stuff. So if a universal solution is going to cost a lot and not be so universal, a specific rig has to be considered. The BFG ten-speed mp7 rig might be a 1 shot solution... especially if you're considering blowing so much money on long tacos.
