Definition of a legal field?
Hi,
A few friends of mine invited me to an airsoft game in a few weeks. However I kinda doupt about the field. Is their any kind of good sense rules or clear regulations that would tell me that this field is "Concreate-solid-legal-that-won't-get-us-stormed-by-the-SWAT-the-moment-we-set-a-foot-in"? This might have been answered before, but if it was I was not able to find it. Thank you for your time.

Ask to see proof of insurance.
It's the easiest way to know if a guy is legit, but it's not 100% fool proof in terms of whether or not discharging a firearm there is prohibited due to local bylaws. |

Do they have permission to hold games there? Is the field easily accessible to unknowing members of the pubic? Does the host have proper insurance?
If you answered No to any of these questions, stay away. |

Thanks guys for the fast inputs
The information I got: -Private field with permission from the owner. -The owner himself is looking to turn it into an airsoft field. -Location is near a lake on the side of a dirt road.

If it's not within city limits and and owner has given permissions it should be all good
I'm not totally sure about the need of actual insurances; it's definitely a good thing to have, to cover the owner's ass mostly, but I would be tempted to think it has nothing to do with the legal aspect of things If you're not sure about "if you can discharge an airgun there legally", call the city or local cops, and ask them. Maybe just don specify the exact location in case it'd kill the fun of the others there :P |

In Poland we just go to the woods, or to some abandoned military unit
No insurance, no papers, no owners - some occasional mushroom pickers, but hey - a lot of safe fun
