Looking for Mississauga/GTA Players

Mississauga Airsoft is a new organized group that gets together and plays Airsoft. Everyone is welcome to join, there will be Private event postings (As the group gets bigger) along with events in the area, Videos, and Pictures. The end goal of this group is to create a community where there is something happening on a weekly basis. I would like to eventually get a group of 5 to 10 dedicated played to maybe start competing in a few fun games, but that is in time. Lets focus on building this community and helping people realize that this sport is so much more superior than paint ball, in so many ways! If you would like to help build the group a link to the Facebook page will be below. Thanks for reading and Please Spread The Word.

You're probably not going to get many people flocking to this group of yours. It seems there's never a shortage of players who, less than a month after creating an account here on ASC, start threads to recruit for their team/group/organization.

Anyone who's been at this for more than a couple weeks is going to be wary of your group and have many questions to ask you. I'd recommend that you drop the whole group thing and get out to games, meet other players and interact with the community before trying to become some kind of "Community Leader", public figure or whatever it is that you're trying to do.

I completely forgot to mention that, though I'd meant to. Thank you for the additional point, BioRage

RE:

I'm not looking to be some kind of community leader or what ever your thinking. I'm just trying to get an idea of how many people are near by and obviously I'm proud of the gun. If anyone isn't proud of their piece then they shouldn't even have it. Sure it might not be a 2000 dollar gun but it still gets the job done. If your such an elites, I wouldn't even like you in the group to begin with. As for posting in the wrong place, my bad. I'm looking for places to play as well so I'm kind of branching out to players to see whats worth a trip and whats not.

Anyways, thanks for the feedback.

Look in the Ontario section. You'll want to get age verified first. Ontario section has frequent events for games.

Locally there's Ultimate Airsoft, TTAC.

Whitby aitsoft in the warmer seasons.

Only one person was making fun of your rifle, and it was a dick move. Regardless of brand or cost, if you like your gun, you like your gun, it doesn't have to be a 2k gun. Though if you do find it unable to compete with other guns, upgrade it or get a better one. The point is, many new players come along and start these threads and groups, they never last.

Get out to games, meet people and get into things before bothering with groups. Once the weather improves, more games will start up. If you're able to drive and leave Mississauga, I think you'll find more games in Toronto area, like Ultimate Airsoft and some outdoor games towards Hamilton or Georgetown. To the other side you have Whitby Airsoft.

TTAC is alright but it's small and gets to become "routine" pretty fast, though the host does his best to prevent that. A large part of my finding TTAC to be "routine" if personal preference though, it's a great place to play and it's small size leads to some intense and vicious firefights.

I'm going today to get my age verified, and yea I did kind of jump the gun by posting this thread. I just got super excited to start playing Airsoft in Canada, I've only ever played in Europe. As for the gun, I'm actually going around today and buying some new internal and a few external parts for it. I took it apart yesterday to see what needs to be replaced and what I would want to replace. It might not be as much as an eye pleasure for a little while, but i can guarantee you that it will be one of its kind (hopefully in a good way :P )

Ill be sure to keep an eye out on those forum sections, thanks again.
Hope to see you guys/gals maybe sometime on the field.

There's quite a few players in Mississauga. The only real "drop in" place in the Greater Toronto Area is called Ultimate Airsoft (www.ultimateairsoft.ca).
Most other games need to be organized and scheduled, and someone will post about the game that they're organizing in the Ontario Events forum. If you want to see who's attending from Mississauga, a lot of people will have their "Location" filled in (under their avatar), so you can see how many people from Mississauga are going. A lot of people are open to car pooling and stuff too, if it's a long trip.

As far as teams go, there's not much good in trying to start a team on your own, and inviting people to it. A successful team is usually built by a group of friends, who've been playing together for a while, and decide to start a team.
As you get out to games, you'll meet people, make friends, and start organizing what games you'll go to together. An "official team" is something you may want to start once you have a group of people that you know you enjoy playing with.

If you're looking for a good place to play, TTAC3 has a game next Friday the 24th:
http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=161504
(Just "post in" to let Brian, the runner, know you're coming)
It's a fun place, with friendly people, and is newbie friendly.

Welcome to airsoft in canada.

Some great fields around when the snow is gone. Be sure to check out Hill437, Finch, and of course Nightfall.

Out of interest where in europe are you from? Some great fields there.

I'm from the land for Poland, we have a whole lot a abandoned places around since i lived on a farm -.- I'm from Bransk to be exact. Its a little town about 3 hours away from any major towns.

I kind of put more thought into what the previous posts said and I think I'll be fine with just the forums. I made a group because I didn't know how active the forums where. It seems like they are quite active. Although thanks, I'll still probably join the group anyways :P
