Ncstar Panorama Red Dot Site or Aimpoint?
Alright so I have a WE PDW AWSS closed bolt and it's doing well I ssuppose. My dilemma is that I had an Aimpoint previously and it ended up broke. I'm unable to adjust the dot and then it got shot out so. I am buying another sight but I'm looking into a panoramic red dot such as the first sight listed, or an Aimpoint style G&P Red dot. I don't know what to choose. I've had bad experience with aimpoint sights before which leans me to the Panoramic sight. Thing is though I need questions answered and have searched the Web for about a day now.
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/194...Faxr7Aod12IAag http://www.midwayusa.com/product/514...le-mount-matte 1) How do the Panoramic sights fare on sunny and snowy days? 2) Does one tend to get shot out more? 3) Zoom or accuracy differences between the two types? I just need to know preferences that you guys might Have for your own guns, personal experiences, stuff of that sort. I'm on a budget of about $40 (not including shipping). Thanks guys appreciate it. |

for 40$, the best you could get is a cheap Tasco 30mm tube RDS.
It's made for shotguns and revolvers, so the recoil from your GBBR won't break it. Basically any chinese RDS you will install on a GBBR will fail. As for the glass being shot, that's on you. Both the aimpoint and reflex sight will explode on impact. The RDS I recommended you above has lifetime warranty against shattered glass, and mine got shot a few times and never failed. I have been running it for years on GBBRs, so much there is barely any paint left on it. |

Awesome thank you! Any view difference between an RDS and the tube sight? Do you know if one works better out doors?

After using a few of their products, I am an NcStar slut. If the prices match, I will go with their stuff EVERY time. I have never had a single issue with anything of theirs that I used, be it sights, lights or lasers.

Hahaha that great. I tend to be like that too... Now do you prefer the panorama red dots over the tubed red dots? Does the tube actually help to block sun? Or is that not a problem?

I personally find tubed dots better for visibility in sunlight, however the tube its self will cover more of your view than the red dot. And if you are playing in woodland areas, you really wont be dealing with all that direct sunlight anyway. It is all personal choice. I have run both tubes and panoramas, and both have pros and cons to discover. Either way, make sure to get a lens cover or one of those rail mounted BB shields.

Not Eye Safe, Pretty Boy Maximus on the field take his picture!

those ncstar reflex sights are amazing indoors. They offer the most minimal vision obscurity which is important lol
Only major issue you'll run into with cheaper end optics is (of course) they may break under recoil, and the dot will produce a lot of glare making it difficult to see what you're aiming at in dark conditions |

I prefer tube style ones.
Provides better structural integrity. (Means I bang my gun around). And if you aim with both eyes open, you don't even see the tube (image composition). But that takes practice, and you have to set the tube at the right place (too close to your eye and you get the tube-effect, too far and you see the outside of the tube). |

I have a question, what is your budget? My primary is sporting a Bushnell TR25, which is in the same style as a aimpoint t1 micro, like the tasco, it can withstand a .223 and 12 gauge

I was looking at that? How do you like it so far? Was thinking of ordering it from brownells.

My budget is around 40 or 50 bucks. I have an Aimpoint tube sight but I really like the reflex sights. I just don't know if it would benefit me in the sunlight. I play mostly outdoors in fields or woodland and snow. Does the sun really bother the reflex sights?

I would say a aimpoint t1 micro is your best bet. I've got a repro and i love it tons.
