what is the proper voltage to use?
can it run 11.1 lipo safely?
is there an advantage to higher voltage?
newbie question, i know, but if you don't ask, you don't learn
lol

I'll refer you to this guide: http://airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=156571

G&P are no different from any AEG.
Short answer: Any AEG can handle LiPos, but you need to take a few extra steps versus NiMH batteries.

The advantage of the higher voltage is usually a higher trigger response/rate of fire.

You should be able to safely run it on a 7.4V lipo out of the box. I run mine on a 7.4V lipo right now but I used to run it on a 9.6V NiMH.

Note, I run a G&P SOPMOD but the internals are pretty much the same between different models, only the externals change (it's stupid to have different internals for different models of guns when you can have a "common" set of internals that you slap into different models with different externals because it's cheaper to only have to develop 1 or 2 sets of internals rather than 50+ for every model of gun).
