Couple questions about G&P Magpul M4

I did search what I could, but some things are hard to find.
I'm speaking about this one:

(Image taken from a random website)

1. The threading on the G&P is normally different from the standard AEG metric one. It is possible to rethread the receiver.

My question is, if I rethread the receiver, will the MOE handguard still fit?
If not, can I rethread the handguard too? Or make it fit again one way or another? Maybe change the black part that links the handguard to the receiver for a compatible one?

2. Is there any other incompatibilities I should know in regards of the Marui standard?

- Is the outer barrel compatible with most of the market? The buffer tube?

As you can see, I don't know a lot about M4, which means I don't know what to search. Sorry if some of this stuff seems obvious to you.

Thanks

you'll need a new Delta ring after you rethread the upper
hand guard will still fit

Why would you want to rethread the receiver AND still keep the MOE handguard? It's already on there so why do you need to modify the gun to keep it on there? O_o

Lol, I'll admit that this part wasn't clear.

I'm asking because I might add a Madbull RIS in the future, and I'd love to retain the ability to use the MOE handguard.

I think you may need a metric delta ring to replace the current one to hold the MOE, if you rethreaded the receiver.
Or maybe not and the current one will still fits.
Depends on how well the rethreading is done and your tolerance to wobbling.

1) If done properly, you'll need a metric delta ring assembly to secure the MOE handguards. And if properly torque'd you'll experience no wobble with either handguards or Madbull RIS

2) The outer barrel has CW threads so it won't fit the industry standard CCW flash-hiders. Buffer tubes are notoriously off-spec so you will get quite a bit of wobble.
I think this was actually a G&P tube in this video:

Thanks. (Thanks to ccyg8774 too)

I take it that a barrel swap will solve this, should the need arise.

This is worrying me a little more. You mean the "buffer to stock" is loose enough to cause wobble, right? That would be tolerable for me. If you mean the buffer itself is wobbling, that is bad.

Thanks a lot.

A simple thread adapter would work.

What if we rethread the 14mm CW threads with a 14mm CCW (left hand) die?
Of course that will make a mess with the thread (thread cross thread), but if the flash hider can fits into the new thread after, it can work.
Unlike handguard, the flash hider thread do not really hold much force and...

That sounds like a terrible idea.

Could just run a tap through the wanted flash hider too. Many are made cw threaded.

I know.
I am thinking about buying a set of 14mm left hand tap and die set (for a different use, not to mess up a G&P barrel thread). But hey, maybe there is more things I can try with them.

What is this? A universal thread?

IMO, it would just be easier to just buy a standard CCW barrel instead.
