Socom Gears Daniel Defense Mk18 Thoughts?
Hi,
im looking at the Socom gears DD Mk18 and i was wondering if any of you guys had any thoughts or any info on the external/internal on this gun! From what i have been researching it looks like a solid gun. I was also looking at the VFC Hk 416 would this be something better instead to get for the money? also i know im not av'd yet and i wont be buying any of these until i am, im just looking for any info you guys can give me! Thank you |

VFC makes some of the best AEGs on the market today, you cannot go wrong with either choice.

Some do, some run G&G. Most sites should have them labelled, if not a safe bet would be anything Socom Gear and full metal is likely VFC. Just make sure to do research before hand to make sure.
I have extensive experience with both guns you mentioned and you can't really go wrong. They both have similar if not identical internals, with the exception of the hop up unit. The 416 has the barrel-type where the MK18 has the gear type. I prefer the barrel type but if you plan on replacing it that's a non-issue. The only other logistical difference would be that the 416 stock has slightly less battery space than the MK18 Crane Stock. So, either would be a good purchase. It's really up to your preference. |

I run a full metal SOCOM with VFC guts. It runs like a dream, the only issues I've had with it was from regular wear and tear. Do what Wrath suggested and research as much as possible.
