KWA MP7 Not firing.

Hi Guys,

I have a KWA MP7 that will not seem to fire anymore.

Only mods done to the gun were changing the flash hider from the orange to a black one and a sling adapter that bolts to the top rail...

I have never gamed with this gun and probably have only put about 200 BB's through the gun.

I picked the gun up the other day and it would not fire, first thing I noticed was that when I pulled my charge handle at the top that nothing happened. Like it came out and stayed out. Normally with gas in the gun it goes right back in the gun. Next thing I notice is that the release for the handle on the side was 100% not functioning... usually when you push this button it will release the charger handle back into the gun and close the bolt. It does neither...

I popped my pins and looked inside to see if anything was broken and it does not seem to be...

Any thoughts?

Give it a thorough cleaning and relube the thing. Take a brush to all the areas where the bolt, charging handle and trigger grouping may move. I have an Mp7 and it tends to gunk up to the point where it starts to jam up. KWA tends to also sell guns somewhat dry, too...

Superlube bearing grease works wonders for this thing.

I've run mine dry the last 3 years.

When you pop the pins and pull the stock off the bolt, charging hand and spring all should come out as one.

Re the bolt catch. It will only engage if you have an empty magazine inserted.

Didn't you also have another thread on this?

No first thread, I mentioned it in the KWA MP7 thread in the gun discussion as I saw people posting, but thought it would be better to get answers here.

Yeah it is weird, when I pop the pins and take out the bolt catch, and let it sit... the unit bounces... Then the trigger fires. this is after I pull the charge handle obviously.. But soon as I put the unit back together, pull the charge handle, nothing happens.

Something is out of it's track.

Best bet is to find a working one and compare side by side.
