Motor problems
Hey there, so i just installed a new gearbox and crimped the back of the wire harness to my old tamiya wire, No i took a few shots full auto and semi and it just stopped turning the gears. So i took the motor out and well its regular temp so i dont think its over heating, after i took it out i hooked it up to a fully charged battery and it turned slowly for about 1 second then it went dead again. I checked all the wires and it doesnt seem to be them so do i need a new motor?
PS: It's a stock G&G Motor for an m4 |

Found out what the problem was, it was a kinked wire just under the gearbox. Unkinked it and went on my way

If it locked up with the piston almost all the way back, you probably don't have enough torque in the motor or gears to pull the spring back.
Try unjamming it by using a larger battery |

If a kinked wire prevents cycling it's probably severed internally. Replace the wiring is my advice and also replace Tamiya connector with something else. |

Didn't read the second post LOL
Though your analogy is correct, I should mention it's the force going down the drain that unclogs the toilet. A toilet plunger just forces the clog down You should recall this problem was extremely common when chinasoft first hit the market with 400fps AEGs that came with underpowered 8.4v NiMH mini batteries. The guns wouldn't turn over after a mag, permanent solution was to use a bigger battery. |

May i also suggest that you ad some solder to the connectors if they are crimped on (i.e motor tabs). You will get a stronger connection and better conductivity, just be careful not to get any solder in the connector where to tab from the motor goes.
