Newbie questions

Hi i recently bought 3 new gun's all TM, 1 M4A1 colt 1 M1A1 thompson and 1 Famas SV and i bout 2 9.6V 3300mAh Ni-MH for the thompson and the famas and 9.6V 2200mAh Ni-Cd Num-Chuck V-Shape Twin Pack for the m4 A1

I was wondering if the 9.6 volt battery in my stock gun will it break the gun because its 2 powerfull? Since i have not many money left for now can i run it stock on the 9.6 volt or i defenilty need a 8.4 battery or rainforced gears.

FaMas = EG550
Thompson = EG700
Colt M4A1 = EG1000

It'll work, but it's just going to mean that your guns will break sooner rather than later.

It might be cheaper just to get some 8.4v batteries ASAP.

You'll also want to consider new bushings.

He's a lot better then a lot of people who spoke English first, so give him a break.

I'd go with getting 8.4s, you wouldn't want it to break so fast. Besides, with the ROF on the FA-MAS, you wouldn't want it to go any higher, it's already pissing BBs.

That is the first thing you should ever change, followed by a replacement spring guide. After that I'd say get a bit higher powered spring so your rate of fire isnt too high. A stock gun on a 9.6v battery will damage a lot of parts.

For now, until you play a lot, do not upgrade your guns. Just get two more normal batteries (8.4 volts).

You dont need bushings, springs, or anything else for now. Just go play and you will learn what you really need after you get experience.

Like everyone here said, 8.4V batteries would be the better investement, because it'll be cheaper than cracking open 3 mechboxes and starting to poke at stuff. Furthermore, if you don't have any previous knowledge of mechboxes, you really should open your first with someone else by your side.

9.6 will give you more fun. big boost in rate of fire. wear on gun is slightly higher, but heck, who cares if its stock, your gonna upgrade sooner or later.
BTW, your guns not gonna break from using a 9.6....1 or 2 parts will wear out and need to be replaced.

Dont bother upgrding the Famas, its a vesion 1 and IMHO a perice of crap...Internals are crap. Keep it as a f&ck around gun.

Colt; bushings, spring will work. Gears in a season or two. But if you have the cash get a reinforced mechbox.

Stock is fine, but goto a game and try someones upgraded gun, its like a corvette compared to a chevett

Just desolder a battery (1.2V) out. (9.6-1.2) = 8.4V

Ask any one who took electronic 10/11 can do for ya~

Cheapest and simplest way.
