Is the A&K Masada worth my price?
Hello.
I found a site in Canada that sells the A&K Masada/ACR for $225(on sale, $290 regular.) Is it worth that $225? I'm also looking at the King Arms M4A1 CQB R.I.S. for $230 Which is better? I should also note I am going to be shooting targets in my back yard before I start the actual sport. I can't decide!:banghead: I would also accept any alternative guns. |

I paid more than that for an A&K Masada and have to say I was impressed with it. I'd buy one at that price. In my experience it's a solid and consistent toy gun ")

Not really. Mainly the hopup system is weak plastic and when it break, you're going to have a hard time repairing it, and in the mean time the gun is out of commission.
The ARES/PTS Masada is a much better choice, and much better quality. |

I have an A&K Masada picked it up here with an upgraded piston head and tightbore works decently and if your worried about the hopup pick up the wiitech upgraded metal hopup, nozzle and feed tube for like $60 the externals are pretty decent polymer with a nice metal upper. Honestly I love this gun works amazing except I would defs say get the Wii tech upgrades the magpul ones aren't worth the extra couple hundred dollars

So I'm going to my first game soon, and I can't decide over the A&K Masada or the Echo1 SOF 2. I'm not that tall and I don't want to be lugging a heavy gun around. Which one? If both are not a good idea, then please give me an ideal gun. THX. (Also something I don't have to work too much or spend too much money on.)

I sold out of the masadas that I brought in... everyone loves them so far. Like has been said before, the hop up unit is plastic, but wii tech makes a replacement for it now so there's less worry.
The internals are meh, they don't have the JG blue motor that a lot of A&Ks do, but the external quality is actually quite nice. The selector switches on them are really grindy feeling, though. they also make the gun a pain in the ass to reassemble.

Also looking at Cyma MP5 SD6. Would these be good guns for a beginner? I don't want to buy a Crosman or crap like that.

If you're worried about the cost, the G&G CM16 series cannot be beat.

You get what you pay for in airsoft! General rule I find is if a rifle is under 350 bucks, then its a great sale...or a plastic toy. Pistols generally are 200+ and good rifles are around 400 bucks. Now im sure there will be people who say you can get a decent setup for less...sure. But im talking about spending an extra hundred bucks and having a gun that lasts a hell of a lot longer then a china made gun. Also, if it says made in china...GG!
