Best optic for AKS-74U

Hey guys, recently got my hands on an echo1 CPM a.k.a a rebrand of the CYMA AKS-74U and was wondering what would be the best optic to put on it.
I want it to have that Russian look, for example I don't want to slap an ACOG on it or something. I would prefer a little bit of zoom features but a red dot should be fine too.
Also I am looking for a wood kit for it, because let's be real, an AK without wood is just weird.
Anyway any information regarding a wood kit and optics would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

T1 Micro, mounted on a forward railed gastube or tap and mount a rail to the sight block and install it there.

A Kobra if you want to keep it to issued style sights.

Whoa, thanks for the pictures!
Digging the kobra, for sure..
You guys know where I can get one for a decent price?
Any "Russian" style optics with a semi zoom feature? Sort of like a Russian Acog?
Also any information on a wood kit??

PKA would be your best bet.

A Real Kobra is $400-$500.

Also there is a PK-A

I read in a different thread that pk-a optics won't work on an AKS-74U.. is that true?
Here is the link to the thread: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...&highlight=pka

I hate how all the optics are so damn expensive...but without an optic it's hard to look down sights with a mask..

Search on google for the Belomo PKA. They are generally made to fit full sized AKs. The PKAS is the one you want for the 74u.

I think the PKA is 1x magnification but the Belomo PK-A is worth the same as your gun or more so something more economical is a rail adapter like this:
https://torontoairsoft.3dcartstores....unt_p_380.html

It works fine on my Cyma AKS-74UN, you just gotta undo the two screws on top and then just rotate the rail 180 degrees then screw it back in so it doesn't interfere with the 74U's rear sight. Then attach a red dot of your choice onto the picatinny rail. Holds on tight once adjusted but comes off real easy, faster than most QD thumbscrews so that you can easily put in your stick battery underneath the dust cover and put your adapter back on.

I'll also seen people successfully clamp red dots right onto the rear sight leaf of regular AK rear sights but I'm not sure if this will work on the 74U's different rear sight.

That's my set up and the rail adapter itself has steel components for hard wearing areas so it doesn't seem like it will break soon. I'm very happy with mine but I suppose purists will decry you for "betraying the motherland" or something like that.
