Walther PPK/s GBB Airsoft Pistol
Hi,
I'm looking to purchase an airsoft Walther PPK/s and would like to know if there are many metal variants of the Marushin PPK/s. I tried searching and found that there is an all metal bb gun version manufactured by Umarex but I'm only interested in airsoft versions. Worst case I'd probably go for the Marushin despite it being all plastic since I really like the look of the PPK/s. Preferably I'd want all metal one for the feel and also durability. Does anyone have this pistol and can comment on it's reliability? (Marushin Version) If anyone knows where I could find an all metal variant of this pistol or even where I can purchase the Marushin variant it would be greatly appreciated. (You could PM me) Thanks in advance! |

you mean marushin or maruzen? there IS an ACM clone, and it somehow manages to be even worse than the maruzen
I did a quick search and i do see marushin ppks now too, but its a shell ejector, performance and reliability is probably dismal

Tier one Tactical can have The Umarex PPK, Maruzen. I did get one in May.
The slide is polymer, that mean you need to operate it with duster gas for longevity. It shoots at 325fps on green gas and 280fps on Duster. Nice look, but the orange tip is annoying and hard to repaing. |

I probably meant Maruzen. I saw that ventureairsoft had a model they said manufactured by Marushin so I was referring to that one. However, that one seems t have an orange barrrel tip which I don't like. How easy is it to remove the orange from the tip? Thanks, |

BTW, do you know any retailers in Canada that sell the ACM PPK? I'd like to see how much it costs relative the the ABS plastic version.

the one on venture is the maruzen, mislabelled, and the orange tip i think is just a orange plastic tip threaded to the barrel, could actually be molded in though, shouldnt be hard to deal with if you have a dremel and/or paint

The barrel of a real Walther PPK/s doesn't extend beyond the slide anyway, so you can just cut the orange tip and be done with it.

Maybe I'll purchase the Maruzen PPK/s then. It seems really hard to find an all metal variant of the pistol. Does anyone know if any other retailers offer this pistol for sale? I'd like one without the orange tip if possible. If not I'll have to find a way to remove it.

Umarex PPK/S (By Maruzen) available at Upper Canada Tactical
Upper Canada Tactical has a few PPK/S still in stock. From what I understand, they have been discontinued. Magazines are also available. This is nice little gun with a kick that will guarantee a smile

The maruzen ppk/s is NOT discontinued. Lots of sites LOVE to label it as so, its just not true.
They handle like a champ. Thousands (lost track after 8k) of rounds on duster. Not a single miss fire or anything. The sears and knocker were MINT when I took -mine- apart. I think I lubed the mag twice. Never did it leak. The plastic slide took almost 2 and a half thousand rounds before it started to crack. (on propane!) Highly recommended. If you don't want to dish out the 800$(ish) for a full metal kit. Buy a cheap ACM clone and throw the maruzen guts in it. (acm will run you around 200$) Be sure to throw the ACM mag straight in the garbage. -alex

As an owner of this gun, I can back up everything hattrick has been saying about the PPK. Plastic or not, the gun is a workhorse on propane. I plink with it daily and it has yet to fail.

Upper Canada Tactical says the Maruzen/Walther PPK/S has been discontinued. That leaves the ACM and I haven't been able to find that for sale anywhere in Canada. Does anyone know whether it's available in Canada and if so, from whom?

Once again, the maruzen ppk/s is NOT discontinued. There are variants (007 edition) that may be out of production, but even those are still in stock at some Asian stores. Put up an add in the restricted age section asking an importer to source one out for you. Best of luck, they are VERY fun little pistols.
