Marushin m1 carbine hop up

i am concerned with my hop up on my brand new marushin m1 carbine 8mm maxi.

It seems veryverysensitive...either it is set too low and gets ok range but drops very quickly...or it is set way too high..i cannot seem to get it just right no matter how slightly I move it...it seems to be at one of those extremes...

I was told hopup seems tosettle after getting worked in at a couple hundred rounds...Is this true with this model or is this what amrushin gas guns shoot like all the time?

it is also gas powered.

Happened when I used a M700, hop-up would never settle down. This was caused by the pressure constantly changing between each shot.

Is there any way to regulate the power better?

such as an extrenal gass system? which can be hooked to the mag at the bottom I have read.

That would be better. Using compressed air at 100-120 psi.

A remote for a pb gun would work. The connecter might have to be machined as I don't ever recall seeing one made/ for sale. Quick connecter would be best since you have to change mags.

I don't know if you can adjust the power or not in the M1 as I have never saw one.

I will do a little searching on that one to make sure it can be adjusted with psi...dont want a super hot gun after this.

and if anyone has a gas setup they aren';t using I'd liek to make an offer on it to keep cost down...i liek buying used.

http://www.airsoftretreat.com has a LOT of information on converting the KJW M700 to HPA using paintball setups under the Sniper's Perch section. I'm sure this could be applied to any gas gun. Hope this helps.
