Where to buy specific Night Vision in canada?

Hi guys,
I am looking for a specific NV monocular. From this site, it's recommended as the "best price-quality" we can found.

So there it is, I am looking to buy a Dipol / Night Optics USA D-112MG but I prefer to order it in Canada (avoid border problem or useless taxes).
Does anyone know a site where is safe to buy this type of gear in Canada?

What is your budget? Gen2 can be found in Canada, but to my knowledge all US made Gen3+ are ITAR restricted and requires expensive paperwork to acquire.

In my opinion, if your nightvision requires an IR illumination (Gen 1/1+), you're better off just using your eyes, and when the time calls for it, white light. You will be a giant lighthouse to anyone with NV of any generation either way, and you'll at least have clarity when you are using white light and bare eyes.

Gen1 / 1+ is notoriously shit. Ask some buddies to try theirs out. It's hard to explain how bad it is, but they are usually not 1x (normally 1.2 - 1.5 / 2x) so your depth perception is shot and even the really nice Gen 1+ devices have a LOT of fisheye compared to Gen3 / 3+.

EDIT: Gen 1/1+ and Gen 2 are marketed to hunters. The reason being, they are not efficient when moving (due to fisheye/magnification/poor resolutions/illuminator required...). If you're sitting still and staring in one direction for 2 hours, they might be worth it, but not for any really movement or combat work.

Gen 1+/2 are fine for use with airsoft, the biggest issue is quality control some units are outstanding some are beyond useless. The biggest issue is the price in Canada is stupid and due to ITAR getting one from the US is marginal. They are not generally restricted but lots of places will not ship out of the lower 48.

Gen 1 and a lot of 2's are best on moonlit or partial moon nights, to avoid use of the IR. At airsoft ranges they are fine, and they will pickup anyone dumb enough to cross open ground.

But at 1000 + for decent gen 2 and several 1000 for a good gen 3 look at your priorities how often do you play at night. Is that much for an NV really worth it. If you have other uses for one then maybe it would worth the money, but for my money I do fine with a Gen 1+, I got a good quality unit before ITAR, I have looked at 2 others since and both were much worse quality.

Optic size and the lowest magnification matters for gen 1 and 2. A good scope with a 40 sized optic and 1 to 1.5 mag may be a better choice than a head mounted unit.

I'm searching a site where they can have the NV D-112MG
(They are really good quality) and it's what I'm looking for. If you don't know where I can find it, don't post.

Biggest problem with gen1, is people buy the cheap stuff.
gen1 has enough limitations already without being further depreciated by poor quality. The high quality gen1 is only $400-$500 anyway from Yukon.
my gen1 yukon tube boasts more clarity than most gen2 monoculars, it's just obviously not as bright.

Gen 3/3+ requires expensive paperwork to export, as tom said, though the process is fairly easy.

Also, contrary to common thought, there are companies in Canada that carry and sell Gen 3+ units to both the civilian and MIL/LEO market in Canada, ITT PINNACLE tubes and Auto-Gated, not the basic models, though they do carry those as well if you're on a lower budget.

Just look around and you should be able to find the retailers on your own.

Having personally held gen 1 nv and gen 3, one on each eye, there is simply no comparison between the 2. in the dead of night, gen 1 gets you about 5 feet of vision without an IR illuminator. while 3rd gen, in the same place, same time, can see like it is day out.

Seriously, gen 1 nv simply is not worth buying for airsoft.
