G and P LMT Trouble cycling
Hi guys,
I have a G and P LMT, that is having issues cycling, it still has stock everything. The gun will fire full Auto and then suddenly stop and I can hear the motor whining and slowly turning and then the gun will start cycling again and fire a random number of rounds unit it stops again. I find switching between semi and full auto starts the gear box again. But it is a horrible feeling when you don't know if your gun is going to fire or not. What do you guys recommend? I took my MAGPUL PTS MOE apart once and it did not end well for me. So before I take it apart or take it to a gun tech I wanted to get an Idea of what you guys think needs to be done. I have ordered a King arms Infinite torque up motor for the gun, and I was thinking of getting the gun re shimmed and greased before putting the new motor inside. Gun has a stock M120 motor inside. Anything else you guys would suggest? The Gun shoots around 380 fps when it does fire. Thanks in advance -B |

Sounds most likely like loose motor wires or bad battery connection

I'll take a look. Would a loose connection cause the motor to struggle and heat up?

Motor struggling and heating up is a indicator of something in the gearbox stopping the movement or high amounts of resistance.
I'm thinking that it has to do with the gears "jamming up" every so often or maybe the cutoff lever or something that when you jiggle your selector switch it unjams it. This is just pure speculation though.

If the motor is heating up it could be tight shimming, I've seen cases where the motor height caused that problem too, but you'd be hearing the most horrible grinding sound from the motor if that were happening
