secondary on a 1pt sling

So I have a small smg that's too big for a holster... I'm thinking I'm going to hang it on a 1 point sling at my side... are there any quick release bits I can use to keep it strapped to my side until I need it? Say I dump my rifle or swing it onto my back, I need quick access to the smg without having to fumble with a buckle.

I recall seeing something on the market, and I know I can use velcro straps but they're a little to loud.

There's a quick release pull ring on my ms2 sling to dump one of the beeners, but I can't seem to find any by themselves without an entire sling attached to it.

What kind of sling do you use on your main weapon? With a one point sling you shouldn't have to unclip it, just grab it and pull it around to where you need it.

I guess he meant a sling for carryng it only, secured firmly, not loosely, to his side until he needs it. Then, when needed, he would un-hook it and use it as-is.

Am I right?

I cannot help you, but I'd be interested to know as well.

this.

If I wear the mp7 on a 1point that hangs under my arm if I lean, crouch or bend over, the mp7 will hang loose and knock into things.

that's the easiest solution, but I find velcro is a bit loud.

I might recommend looking around on various sites for different slings, seeing if you can find something you like, or that you could modify into what you want.

Hmm an interesting problem, I was able to think of a few solutions to it though. The first and most simple being the Pantac MP7 holster if you don't mind that. If that doesn't float your boat then I thought of two other solutions for webbing gear.

An S&S weaponlink (there is a repro version too) could be used either alone or in conjunction with a one point. I'm not a fan of repro kit but in this situation it may very well work fine.

The other solution is to do what you are doing now but just use the First Spear Weapon Retention Catch in conjunction with the one point to hold the gun down. No velcro like a normal weapon catch either so that issue is solved.

one point sling + paracord to tie down the mp7 to your body with a knot.

when u need it, pull the knot, and your mp7 is ready to go.

Use your single point sling and a weapons catch to hold the MP7 securely on that spot of your belt http://www.blackhawk.com/product/CQD...tch,153,94.htm

Short loop of shock cord, (elastic cord) at the belt. Tuck the mp7 ender the arm, loop the cord over the front of the receiver. Go

This. And the SMG itself should be hung on a bungee sling, like those used for breaching shotgun. It will hang relatively tight on you, yet give you some room to use it.
