Looking For Good Glock 23
I have the one in my sig, but it's the cansoft version and I had to paint the bottom. I'm looking for one that is already painted of course and is reliable. Can't seem to find many Glocks except the Glock 18C which feels like a toy to me. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Doesn't have to be a Glock 23, can be any Glock around the same size. Last edited by Uberg33k; March 6th, 2013 at 18:13.. |

The only G19/G23 you're going to find are the KJW (which is the worst I think), then there's WE and KSC/KWA.

Caelum, TM doesn't make a G19/G23 size.

Hmm. I had a WE Glock 23F Gen 4 for a while, even used it in my only game so far. I think I put a goos 2-3000 rounds through it and it was fine to me. The only thing I didn't like was that the receiver plastic felt a little too thin. Otherwise, it seemed prettt solid to me, but I haven't handled TM or KSC glocks so I can't compare them.

Yes, my mistake. OP said in his first post that it did not have to be a G23.
I took that to mean that a larger frame size was acceptable, even though he said the size needs to be about the same as a 23. I think I'm a bit more tired than I realized. I'll go back and clarify. Thank you for pointing that out. EDIT: just decided to delete my post altogether, as most of my information was about a G17, which is a full sized glock, and does not apply to this thread. OP if you are willing to consider a full sized frame, then you could take a look at this thread:http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=146185 I was looking for a full sized glock, so there imight be some info that you would find helpful. My KSC G23f is sturdy and runs good, although if you do actually find one make sure it has a metal slide as you won't be able to find one on the shelf anywhere (that I've found at least).

I'd suggest you look into the KSC G19 if you want a mid size Glock.
That thing was one of my favorite Glock for a long while. It was pretty good. Accurate too. THe thing is, troubleshooting them is tricky. The KSC/KWA system is much more complicated than the Marui and clone internals. But there are a myriad of preventitave measures than you can do to ensure everything is a-ok. And when they fail, they fail the hardest....

Thanks for the replies guys. The one thing I've noticed is I just can't find any anywhere. I picked up the CanSoft version of the Glock 23 from Mach1 and I like it, had to paint the bottom (Thank god for Krylon flat and Matte Finnish lol), but it has no trades, actually almost no markings period. I'm not prepared to pay more than $250 on a secondary because to be honest, the way my fellow serviceman and I play is so slow and methodical we almost never draw our side arm.
Only recently when we played a CQB style game (we almost never do) and I had to clear a room I went with my side arm, not by choice but more of a lack of options. My M4 is just too long. lol |

if you are just doing that in a game then realistically, you don't really need a high end system like the KSC one.
I say stick with the KJW until it is totally destroyed. If you want a frame replacement, there is a thread in the classifieds that has a few KJW Guarder frames for sale. PM Qlong. I think he was the one who posted it.
