Decent laser/light
An suggestions on a decent laser/light? I was looking at the A.C.M AN/PEQ-15 and it felt really cheap/plasticy

They have most brands of PEQ boxes on the markets and there are some that are very good quality. There are some reviews on YouTube of some of the models sold on that site and the lasers are so powerful you can see it through the air reflecting off of tiny little dust particles. They have some serious lights too.

You don't need a laser. All but one of the airsoft ones won't zero properly anyway and lots of games don't allow one.
Just get a light; Surefire, Inforce, Streamlight, Onlight. Real ones, copy ones, tons of choices. If you want the PEQ box for looks the VFC PEQ-15 or the Element PEQ-16A would be the ones to go for.

I was only using the PEQs as an example. The site I listed has a shit ton of lights and other accessories that are good quality, despite the quality if the website itself.

Yes, I bought a SureFire clone tac light grip. Good quality, I just don't use it often. Took about two weeks for shipping. I was also gonna order something recently, but the guy was out of stock. Simply asked him to cancel the order and got the refund notification on PayPal right away. I believe the guys name is Peter Cheng. Nice and easy to deal with, not the best English but still comprehensible.

Airsoft Club is very good as well and sell a lot of the same products, this site just has a little more variety with lights and lasers.

we had a laser last night that wasnt cleared to be used at the field. the problem with ACM (A China made) lasers is that they havent been properly certified as safe so many players do not feel comfortable with them and can veto them from gameplay. take the money you would use on the laser and toss it all into an awesome flashlight. You will use this so much more and be much happier with the purchase.

Agreed when it comes to the lasers. I mean just looking at videos of some of the green laser PEQ boxes on YouTube, you can pretty much see the laser through the air and it brightly marks things at distance in bright daylight, so with power like that its really not something you want to point at someone unless you are in a real combat situation and just don't give a shit about their eye sight lol.

I've had a couple of the light/laser PEQ boxes...and here's the two downsides I've found with them...
1. Laser doesn't hold zero (on a GBBR mostly...but even still I had to crazy glue the adjustment dials in place to prevent them from spinning freely) 2. Light is very dim/narrow focus...so not much use as a primary light. Imagine a dim LED flashlight vs. a good bright handheld....the PEQ light always leaves you wanting more illumination except for spitting distance Then there's the issue of being allowed to use the laser at this game or that one... |

If you're are looking for an actual light and a laser, for use, don't get one of those PEQ boxes but rather invest in getting a powerful flashlight around 200 lumens with a pressure switch for quick on and off switching. Works great for blinding the opponent. Also most places wont let you use lasers, but for looks, sure.

If you want a decent PEQ15 theres a company on ebay called invisiblesight, they make clone PEQ15 that is IR/laser capable. They come with life time warranty and its mil-standard with 50m waterproof ability (so they claim). I read up on it another forum and it looks good holds zero well. So that might be option but its a tad pricey.

InvisibleSight® PEQ-15-mk2 IR illuminator, Red laser & IR laser
http://bit.ly/XiyzPd I have the one and i can tell you its great! The IR Cree Illuminator holds up to 60-70m but the IR laser is crisp and bright same as the visible laser. This user does other types of Laser unit so have a good look but like i said $420 US, it is pricey! |
