Tightbore
I'm gonna be receiving my kj m700 soon and when i fired it(at a previous game), it seemed to fire straight. I am considering a tightbore barrel for it just to make the shots more consistant as sometimes the bb's didn't really go where they were supposed to.
I can either eventually order in a 6.03 tightbore or a 6.04 nitrate coated or whatever. I've heard that the 6.03's have problems and really sometimes are less accurate so i think that maybe the 6.04 would be the way to go. Anyone have any suggestions as to what might work out better? |

Wrong section.
Learn to use the gun as it comes first, add stuff later. Proper hopup adjustments will go a long way. Never expect perfection with a smoothbore barrel shooting a round BB. |

My bad about the section, but im not expecting perfection at all. I've owned 2 other aeg's and they were more consistant. Sometimes the m700 will fly of to the left and the next shot will be the complete oposit, other times it will go straight. I was thinking a tightbore would make the shots a bit more consistant and just wanted an opinion as to if a 6.03 is getting to tight?

6.03 mm tightbores often have jamming issues. You are better off with a 6.04 mm

I have a 6.03mm tightbore in my CA M24, and it hasn't jammed yet and tightened my groups up decently.
I have a KJW M700 as well and it shoots relatively well, but is fussy for heat & humidity changes. I read one account that claimed it has a 6.05mm inner barrel in it, as opposed to the standard airsoft barrel of 6.08mm. |

I've only used Excel, Maruzen Accuracy, Straight, Guarder, Airsoft Elite and KSC Perfect BBs in my 6.03 tightbores and never had a problem. |

I have no idea what brand of BB they were. They came with the gun when I purchased it, on a unidentified clear bag. I currently use Excel, and sometimes AE. Thats about it =D

In my experience a dirty barrel can make shot groupings inconsistent. If you've not tried already give it a good cleaning .. maybe even strip the IB out of the gun and clean it right out. Usually stripping the front end is really easy .. tho I know nothing about the M700s. If indeed it has a 6.05 you likely wouldn't notice anything with a 6.03, it might just be dirty.
When I first got my G&G M14 it fired good on the first day, then it was awful the next day. I stripped the IB out of it and it was filthy. I think due to factory "over lubrication" which after it got dirty and gummed up, it made it worse the second time out. After I cleaned the barrel, shot grouping was better than ever. egg |

I've found the same with my M24, with stock barrel and even my 6.03 tightbore. I got in the habit of cleaning the barrel with a drop of oil on my patch every 20odd shots. When benching in the basement, I'd get 15-20 good tight shots, then start getting a couple flyers, then clean the barrel and back to tight again.
In regards to the M700, I found it didn't quite act the same with a clean barrel. More like I'd knock off a couple mags after cleaning then it'd get better. Totally odd that it works for one but not the other. |

Found reason for inconsistancies. My inner barrel is bent, and i know this is a common issue. Im wondering how to remedy this problem without floating the barrel. Is it the barrel that's bent or is it how the guns put together that makes the barrel bend. If i get a new barrel will it go in there straight or bend like the one in there now? any suggestions as to parts to fix the problem would be helpful. Its not too inconsistane i was shooting at about 30 ft maybe which is very short but 1" groupings so thats not too bad, but im sure a straight barrel would help.
