Civilian Gear?

Am I the only one who does this? I mainly play in a CQB field so I go in jeans, a long sleeve shirt, a sweater, goggles, and a bandanna. Am I the only one who does this? People ask me about it and I say I am dressing as a survivor or civilian in a combat situation. (Survivor is mainly a zombie apocalypse term, someone who is just a civilian who has armed up to survive). Sometimes I see people who wear shorts, goggles, and a tank top. I think they are either crazy or going for a civilian look too.

I would say (not by much experience) that you would not be the only one, but keep in mind that some people playing CQB also play outside games, be it skirmish or MilSim. They invested a lot of money on their gear, and will of course wearing it for CQB. So, if you run like that, you look more like a guy who doesn't have gear, and less like a civilian. You might look out of the element, but nothing that will prevent them or you from having fun.

Just my opinion :P

I guess the mags in the jeans pockets complete the look.

Gear does not make shooter.

I mostly run in jeans/shirt and minimal load bearing equipment, unless I have to gear up. Never had any problems.

Shorts and tank top? Sounds like Wildcard... He's just crazy.

For the question of how I hold my gear, I have two inner pockets in my sweater that I hold my secondary mags in, I keep my primary mags in my jean pockets, but I only have one extra mag as the games are around 10-30 minutes long, and my mag holds 300 rounds, the field I play on only allows semi as well, so I don't really need the extra mags. If I go to MilSim I have a gear load out, but you were right, I don't have a lot of money for gear XP. I also do it because cops like to pull you over if they see you wearing a full black gear set with a mask around your neck (I put it on at home because it is a pain at the arena)

@ShelledPants:

That's still different from jeans and an MLP hoodie and a huge facemask :P

Probably not the best idea to drive around wearing gear.

it's a good training to be able to put gear on (especially head gear) without a mirror.
