By regulation? the answer is no, it's not allowed.
Many do though.

It would probably be best, because it will obviously accelerate the rate that you wear out and damage your gear.

When I got issued my kit last week, I was told not to wear or use any of it outside of work. I would guess you would get the same little speech.

As per QR&O, without getting into providing all the minor details in regards to sections and sub sections. http://www.admfincs.forces.gc.ca/qro...apitre-017.pdf "17.06 – WEARING OF UNIFORM – RESTRICTION (1) Except that an officer or non-commissioned member may wear a military uniform of obsolete pattern that is not likely to be confused with current dress, no member shall wear any part of military uniform at a fancy dress ball. (2) No member of the Reserve Force shall wear uniform except when: (a) on service; or (b) attending a military entertainment or a ceremony at which the wearing of uniform is appropriate." Like I said though, many will wear it to games or whatever, but don't go asking, you'll just look like an idiot for asking things that are common sense and will be taught to you on BMQ.

I was not going to ask, if you had read my post you would have noticed the lack there of. I was merely stating what I was told when I received my kit.

My mistake, I meant to put Auto_Demon, quoting two people, I put your name in accidently. You on the other hand, are correct.

Although a message to the OP, make sure you have somewhere roomy to put your kit, because you get A LOT of it.

Yeah, most of mine sits in 3 duffle bags in the closet. It's ridiculous, so many pairs of rubber overboots, at least they demanded my CBRN Suite back awhile ago, though I wish I still had it. Still have my mask :P

There are guys that do wear their issue kit while playing airsoft.. but they are typically "those guys" that are so Jazzed that some institution actually permitted them entry that they probably wear their kit to bed.
It's against regulations, and it's against all measure of prudent behavior. don't be "one of those guys"

Wear what you want to airsoft, most guys who are in don't give a shit if you do, I know a few who use the first game of the spring or fall to adjust some of their kit after the previous season's Ex's, having adjusted it to fit over coats and parkas, or to stay familiar with their kit. Just don't do dumb shit, do keep in mind it is against the rules, if you wear it to or from games, remember, you still represent the CF, on the field, the same applies, play with honour and dignity, keep in mind, you are being watched and judged. That being said, I wouldn't reccomend using it, there's much better stuff, at the same time, a number of people, while loving their job, can't stand wearing cadpat outside work hours and can't wait to get it off, it represents "work" for them :P
