Tokyo Marui Beretta 93R AEP
So as you may or may not know, there is a new Automatic Electric Piston on the block, and I'm not talking EBB either. It's the new Beretta M93R from (you guessed it...) Tokyo Marui.
This little beast uses the same power-source as the Glock that released mid-last year, a teeny little 7.2 volt battery pack. The gun itself comes with the battery and 11mAh charger. Price is set a little higher at about 18,000 yen, but still marginally lower compared to some other pistols. That being said, most pistols in Japan are set in/around that same price range. The selling factor IN JAPAN is the fact that folks don't need to go out and pick up a can of gas. BLOWBACK is a great feature that is praised in North America as it makes the gun feel that much more realistic, but it's not entirely thought of as 'Needed' in Japan which is why so many NBB pistols are fielded in place of GBB (and also so many more revolvers as well). Revolvers are much more 'en-vogue' around most of Japan compared to big hand-cannons and the such that you would expect to see fielded at most of North America's games. The pistol comes stock with the a single 7.2V 800mAh batter, charger, folding fore-grip and 40-round magazine, more than enough for use as a side-arm/backup pistol. Some optional attachements are the Pro-Light from Marui which comes with a chargable batter-pack and charger, as well as the soon-to-be released 80 and 140-round magazine extensions, similar to the earlier Glock AEP. One new feature on the AEP is the fact that it's movable hammer. Earlier prototypes had a 'blowback' hammer while the final version's hammer movement may be stationary, but movable with a flick of the thumb. The M93R's selector switch is located above the thumb and fires in semi-automatic and fully-automatic, with no three-round bursts available in the first release. Length: 250mm Height: 173mm Weight: 814g (Battery+53g / full magazine+120g) Magazine Capacity: 40 Barrel Length: 120mm (6.08mm diameter) Estimated Price: 18-19,000 yen Velocity: 65.3 meters per second / 214.25 feet per second

Looking for form T-whatev

If I liked Berettas I'd probably buy one, but I don't. It's still an impressive technological step in the electric pistol market, but I think I'll stick with my propane guns. Also the extra velocity from propane isn't anything to complain about either.

Also the complete lamesness of an electric pistol and lack of upgrades is another. I'll stick with my metal, kick ass propane powered GBB's.

I'm quite eagerly anticipating this one, being slightly less apathetic towards Beretta than GLOCK, yet highly positive towards the AEP concept. I didn't know its hicap would be 140 rounds though, that's a whole locap more than the 18C's 100 rounder.
When's the gun out anyways? I thought it was due in a couple of days.

I don't see myself using a sidearm that goes 214 fps. Need something with a bit more push to get thru those trees and ferns.
Would be a nice collecters piece thou. |

The g18c aep's range is actually pretty impressive, I am sure that this one will be too. There is also a new marui tac-light/battery pack that boasts 5000 rounds to one charge!
This is a must for those wanting to have cutting edge airsoft technology. Dont sleep

From what I remember (don't have my AEP in front of me), the battery capacity on the G18C is 200mAh. 800mAh would be awesome. Also, the way the text is written makes it sound as if a three-round burst version will be available later on! |

Nice, but I honestly can't see it being more satisfying than a nice KSC M93r...
