AEG feed issue thread
Well, I have run across this issue with a few guns. Maybe someone could enlighten me on what the problem is.
I just reassembled a KWA M16 for a customer (the safety switch was broken). The gun used to feed perfectly, now it won't feed unless I remove the mag and hold it upside down. Then it will feed the 4 or 5 bbs in the hopup. With the mag inserted it will fire one bb then nothing, even upside down. I must flip the gun upside down and remove the mag for it to feed at all. I also had a JG M4 doing the same thing and I never figured out what it was. Any ideas? EDIT: In the interest of saving many posts here is some information: 1) hopup is lubed 2) multiple magazines tried, including PMAGS that were used in this gun all of last year 3) I took the hopup apart and reassembled it 4) I removed the gearbox and lower hopup from the receiver, then reassembled it 5) This gun was feeding right up until I reassembled it after the above mentioned servicing Last edited by venture; May 26th, 2012 at 11:07.. |

sounds like the tappet plate isnt engaging enough, and causing the air-nozzle to not pull back enough, which would make it not feed or at least not properly. There might be a little piece from the broken safety switch in there jamming up the tappet plate, or the tappet could be really worn out and its not pulling back enough because of that

Being a KWA I should have tried more mags. Even though the pmag from last season did not work, I tried a KWA hicap and it works flawlessly. Guess it was a mag issue all along.
