Read the FAQs .... EBBs suck, and I would suggest an AEG rather than a pistol for you first gun.

Yes But I want a cheap sidearm to get it out of the way early. Is it still an ok gun?

I would save up a bit more and get a GBB instead. You'll be happier, EBBs lack performance, and they're not very durable, but it's your money...

Ok That was my thought to. To get 200 more dollars for the D.Eagle GBB. But here are a few questions.
1. What is the distance on the EBB 2. Hows The sound 3. Does it look Like an actual gun Please dont be biased just tell me the truth |

well the distance is pretty crappy since you dont have much fire power with these ... get a gbb and use propane and you'll like it
sound :\ its like zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzuuzzzzz then pop sound like shit a gbb on propane sound more like BAM BAM BAM ;P It does look like the real gun until you pull the trigger :| or take a good look at it EDIT: Even better get a AEG and when you'll have more money get your sidearm because a sidearm alone is useless.. unless you play a pistol only game |

How old are you? If your over 18 then go to a few games and meet some players before picking a gun or anything else. One important not, airsoft is expensive.

People Would have an EBB that i could try at a game. And do they sell guns there?

1. Can hit a man sized target at 30 feet. (That's if they have their back to you, if they see you they will dodge it).
2.Sounds brutal sorta like "eeee-phip-pop" 3.From a distance yes, close up no. It looks way to plasticy close up. Edit : A mini electrics preformance is higher than that of a TM EBB. 2nd edit: Most likely people will not have an ebb at a game because they suck to much to be effective. I bought a TM EBB M9 a few years ago when I first found out about airsoft. It broke within a month, no joke. |

EBBs are ok for indoor plinking and TM EBBs are generally pretty reliable. Using them as a secondary is not really recommended but not completely of the question.
Basically: - EBBs can't compete with gas pistols at all in terms of performance or upgrades, but are over $200 cheaper and requires less attention/upkeep - EBBs can't compare with AEP (Auto Electric Pistols) at all in terms of performance (AEP having evolved from EBBs) or upgrades, but are ~$200 cheaper - EBBs can compete with springer pistols if the users know what they're doing, but are ~$30 more and require batteries If you must have an EBB, TM's GLOCK 18C is probably your best option. It's the latest TM EBB and it's got automatic fire. I'm not telling you this because I'm trying to sell mine, either, especially if you're under 18.

not proud to admit it, but i've got a couple m9 ebb and other than plinking across the living room and looking crappy on the wall theyre not much good. trying to use an ebb against aeg or gbb is like bitch-slapping mike tyson.
