Displaying your Guns

So, here's the situation...

I have a bunch of AEGs just sitting in boxes I'd rather have out on display where I can grab one (or several) and fondle them at will. I have place(s) to display them safe from prying eyes, etc. so no worry there.

The problem is I can't drill into the wall to mount a peg board as this is a rental property. Ideally I'd like some kind of stand up display thing. I was wondering what people use to display their guns if they're in this situation. Just basically looking for ideas.

I'd considered that.. seems like just a more organized alternative to what I'm doing now... unless it's a display case with glass front.

Interesting idea. Probably won't shell out $300 for an AS gun rack but I could probably build something similar...

Build one. Not terribly hard.

A freind got me a Track panel kit from Mastercraft a week back. Its a pretty alright alternative to pegboard if you ask me, and you can paint it up to look nice.

I like slat board better myself. here's a pic of mine. step my step on the link.
I have added a few accessories to my display but you get the idea.

**edit** I missed the part about not being able to drill holes into the studs or walls. Are there any architectural details in the room you might be able to take advantage of? Maybe modify a cheap closet organizer or something, hell even surplus shelving?

Get some pegboard, mount it to a frame made of 2x2, 2x4 or whatever, then make some L shaped feet that only stick forward, and push it against the wall?

If you have the tools and materials you could build a freestanding rack... something like this .

sorry for the quick job in paint but I hope you get the idea.

I hang all my rifle and pistol in my closet by using the PEG board from home depot. It's convenience since you can close when there are visit or maintenance my condo. I will post up picture tonight.
