Best mag
Hey,
I was wondering if the mag like this: http://www.torontoairsoft.com/produc...d_product=1530 are any good on quality and such as I haven't heard anyone having them. Could you please let me know if there is other place to buy 30 rds mags other than toronto airsoft, ehobbyasia (don't know if they would get through CBSA), airsoftqc. Please have fun discusing this with me about everything about quality of mag for M4/M16 variant Last edited by Aedan798; December 30th, 2011 at 18:19.. |

airsoftparts.ca has quite a few mags. There are some up in the classifieds for sale as well as the retailers there. The green label Magpul pmags or emags works fine not as well as the $30 a piece ones but they do the job. Hope that helps.

I suggest you do some reading on those green boxed PTS before buying it.
I bought 6 of them and only one is still working and that last one is starting to shows signs of failure. They are glued together so that you can not service them either. Basically, disposable mags. All my other mags, G&P, D Boys, VFC and King Arms can be taken a part and serviced are all older than the Magpul PTS. The G&P mid cap are my favorite. http://airsoftcanada.com/showthread....highlight=pmag Last edited by SuperHog; December 30th, 2011 at 18:47.. |

I run the Magpul PTS green label pmags and haven't had much of a problem with them at all. My teammate uses the $30 pmags and they had to be modded to fit the mag well and feed properly. I haven't seen much difference in how well they feed just the build materials are a better polymer. I will be getting some emags within the next week or so and I'll compare to see if there is much difference. Just ensure you do proper maintenance on the magazines and most of them should work well.

I know you said real cap, but some of the best STANAG mags I've seen/used are the metal King Arms 68 round ones. About $10 each. Good enough that they'll take a beating, feed in many different brands of guns, yet cheap enough that if you lose a few over the season you're not going to be pissed.

+1 to the king arms 68 rounders again, feed great and no fitment issues so far. Now this is just my opinion, and I haven't used green label magpul mags, but if I buy pmags or emags, I would only buy PTS version. I have both pmags and emag in PTS version and they are worth it. Also bringing in mags from eHobby is just fine, I've imported almost all of my mags from them.

+2 to KA metal mags, if you want 30 rounders, just pin them to 30

I will also put my +1 in for KA mags, however...
I had built a gun with a KA receiver, and KA metal magazines did not fit. How about them apples. My recommendation, if you don't mind plastic mags are ARES/STAR 30 rounders. I have ran their 85r mags for the past 2 seasons and only had 1/10 die. Plus, they're stupidly cheap. A box set works out to be like 7$/mag

These "which mags are best?" threads are kind of pointless really. Due to the great disparity in magwell and mag sizes in the airsoft world, mags will fit and feed differently depending on the make of your aeg. There is no "Best Mag". (Unless you're running a WA based GBBR, then the general consensus is that the Prowin V2s are the best) The best advice is to buy/borrow as many different mag brands as possible and figure out for yourself which mags are best for your gun. As for the magpul green label mags, I think they're shit. Tried them on 4 different AEGs and they don't feed unless I tilt them at just the right angle and the planets line up. I imagine they would work great in a Star made AEG though.

The VFC brand hicap that was INCLUDED with my aeg was barely insertable in the magwell.
