compatible magazines for the vfc mk16 and ics m4 commando
My dad and I are going to start playing airsoft at a new local indoor field. Now games are about two hours long so we're going to need mags. My question for anyone that reads this is, what is a good brand of magazines that work in both the vfc mk16 and ics-43 m4 commando with no mod-ing needed. please only answer if you have used these two guns. thank you for any help you can give. also no pmags or emags.

king arms metal midcap mags (120rds) work brilliant in nearly anything that has an m4 magwell
other than gas mags or ptw weapons platforms of course

Even if it does work in other ICS and VFC's, it may not work well on yours due to tolerances in the gun and mags. Buy some and if they don't work they may need tweaking. A lot of things don't work 100%, sometimes 98%, etc.

If the ICS is a cansoft body, they are picky for mags in my experience. You may need to shim the back of the magwell to get it to feed properly.

Like wrath said, the only thing it might need is some shimming at the back wall of the magwell, a strip of velcro (fuzzy side) right against the back wall should push the mags forward that little bit needed to feed no problem.
its a 5 min mod to the magwell of each gun if they need it, you might find it feeds no problem without doing the mod, some guns do, but like wrath said its mostly the ones with plastic or cansoft lower recievers that need it done

Fair enough. Trouble will be finding someone that has used a specific mag in both models. Would honestly be easier to just grab whatever mags you wanted to try, and see how they fit in both guns, chances are you might only have to mod the magwell of the one to make sure they both feed well.

In my VFC SCAR-L (the Mk16), I always used Magpul PTS 120 round magazines, and never once experienced a stoppage. I can only suppose those mags would work just as well in an M4.

Myself and my teammates trade mags regularly during play, so with my VFC and teamate's ICS, we each had no feeding issues with: Magpul pts 120rd P-Mags, Echo1 Dogs of War metal M4 mags, King Arms metal M4 mags, Green label 75 rd P-Mags, magpul pts 20rd mags.
