Since I don't even have an AEG or any kit on me, I'd have to say that I'm not ready.

This year we had Operation Rhino and then you also have Operation Werewolf...
Ontario has these types of games. I don't know about the rest of Canada... |

here is the write up to the game -
http://www.outsidecontext.com/2011/0...y-simulations/ these games are run by ex Royal Marines and UKSF tasked and operated like real missions - i'm pretty sure we don't have games like this here. Question is does canada want games like these?? |

Picton needs more buildings? Or Muskoka needs more forest villages?
Short of an aerial camera it's tough to accurately show the scope of a game... you can have short but intense, or extended firefights in a Saturday skirmish as easily as a weekend in Muskoka or Picton. And yeah, there've been some pretty epic weekend games at Picton and Muskoka both.

The problem with running that type of game is that although we have a lot of airsoft players (at least in the Toronto-Montreal belt), we have few MILSIM players. Putting on an elaborate scenario is usually a waste of time as;
- Most players won't read any prep materials before the game, let alone the game info thread (what, I was supposed to bring a glowstick???); - It's usually impossible to get through a proper military style briefing before game without some jackhole interrupting with a stupid question (yes there are stupid questions) to see if they can get an unfair advantage in the game (ie "The ammo limit is 300 rounds, but what if I carry TWO guns? Can I have 600 rounds???"; - Getting players to show up in the proper camo is damned near impossible most of the time as for some reason 90% (I pulled this figure out of my ass) seem to love blowing $$$hundreds on magpul accessories for their primary, but get all cheap and miserly when it comes to buying a $60 set of combats (ie: "I know the game rules said the US team is wearing ACU and the Russians are wearing woodland, but I only have Multicam/CADPAT/gucciflage, so which team should I sign up for?"); and - A little bit of weather that is not 100% ideal (rain, chilly, or really even just a good bit of midday heat) will kill off a good chunk of your players, more will succumb to being ill prepared (didn't bring enough food/water, proper gear). I can list the players personally known to me who I would invite to the sort of game in the video, and would finish before I ran out of fingers and toes; that's after nine years of playing. |

Kokanee nailed it.
My biggest problem with games here in Canada is the level of attrition..... rain, cold, or more then 6-8 hours of playing and the game is over (nothing is happening). Games in Picton and Muskoka could have been EPIC if we had players playing the whole duration.. |

this is not for the faint hearted nor for the masses - but without doubt the highest level of the sport so.....who's tough enough?
