Gauging Interest: CADPAT Crye Combat Pants

So I've been talking to a contact of mine at Crye, and they will make their infamous Combat Pants AC (not sure about G3 style) in custom camouflage patterns if the following requirements are met:
  1. 20+ pants in the custom order.
  2. If they can get the materiel.
So, would 20 people be interested in this? The price isn't yet determined, but it would be similar to what the Combat Pants AC cost new ($179.00). Likely less money if we can source our own fabric/material for them.

Great idea, fyi however you are going to have a tough time finding the material as it is restricted. Using my CF credentials, Wheeler's still shot me down and I only wanted 2m square of cordura to make a helmet cover.

The company you would need to get approval from is Consoltex since they are the manufacturers of the cadpat fabric. They will give your information to a Canadian Major. Don't bother contacting them if your military because it will create issues for you.

I'm pretty sure they had rolls at Prefair in Beloeil. Not IR treated or anything, but shouldn't matter if buyers are airsofters uh?

Oh well if there is a source for the non-IR treated stuff then green light!

I just ended up sourcing a surplus helmet cover in good condition and using it as a base.

But TW would be so much more unique, less like AOR1 or MARPAT Desert. Ah well

That remind me of some military having Crye make them pants in a fabric they provided for them. All the pants ripped off.

If I find the article on Soldier System, I will link it.

EDIT: some of the ripping.
http://kitup.military.com/2011/08/ma...olding-up.html

Still missing the exact article.

Make sure the fabric is apropriate for a combat pant.
