Red dot for airsoft ipsc
Hey guys i was wondering what type of red dot sight you suggest, or use for airsoft ipsc guns. I have a 4.3, and my budget is around 80USD
I'll most likely be getting a replica, yeah yeah I wish I could get the real thing too but right now its picking the best one out of a group of crap. :P I would love to hear what you guys think. I don't want something that's too big imo the c-more takes up a bit too much room on a 4.3. Maybe something like a docter or T-1? And there are so many freaking replicas out there, I want to be sure its something that can be adjusted and zero!! Thank you. |

I've seen mounts for Docter sights that fit through the dovetail slot.
Docters are pretty low profile and don't kill your sight picture much at all, so my vote would go to that. http://www.docterusa.com/_mgxroot/page_10773.html It will chop up over your price range, but you can buy the mount here, then get a clone docter from Huang or something, it'd work. Doesnt hurt to push budget in some cases. Last edited by Strelok; November 14th, 2011 at 03:44.. |

http://airsoft-club.com/shop/externa...hi-capa-silver and some of the docter sights come with that 20mm to go right on a rail (some go on mp7, an mp9...) would this work? But Strelok you think a replica docter would work? Adjust and hold? Thank you anyone else? |

Depends on the replica. I'm pretty sure Huang does sell a shock resistant one.

Where are you located first?
Some Docter sights is a hit or miss. On a 4.3, it won't be bad on recoil. A T1 is okay, but a bit more bulky. A C-more is a popular choice. But if you get the rail, it needs to be drilled and tapped into your frame. It will give you more options to choose for an optic. Some frame mounts are designed specifically to some optics too. Airsoft Surgeon makes mounts for Aimpoint Comp, T1, C-More, and 30mm rail for any other optics. A shooter on CAPS has a real Aimpoint Comp and he shoots pretty good with it. As well as another member with a T1. I own a real C-more click switch. It all depends how you work with it, and how you get on sight with it. To me, size on optics doesn't matter. It's all on how the shooter adapts to it. |

Does your price factor in the cost of the mount as well? Assuming you find a mount for $20-$30, that leaves you with only $50-$60 left in your budget to get an optic that would mount. There aren't many good ones in that price range, but I'd try looking for a china made Doctor clone.
There are none for the 4.3. Only for the 5.1 |

There is a difference? I only thought that the slide was simply shortened and the like. Huh.

The rear sights are completely different.

But yes, around 80 total. =/ I know there are replicas out there way around 50 bucks. But I'm not sure if its ipsc (again, airsoft) worthy. Like the ACM docter, with the switch on the back. I heard the one without the switch blows. i am really liking the feedback here! Keep it coming, thank you. |
