6004 Holster Glock 17 - Extended Slide Release Compatibility

Hey guys, I recently installed an extended slide release on my Glock 17, and it feels EXCELLENT. I plan to buy a 6004 for it, but will the extended slide release fit? It sticks out about 2.5 mm as opposed to the stock slide release that is flush to the frame.

it shouldn't affect the draw.

+1, You're good to go. If you add night sights or fiber optic sights it should work as well, as the holster has a large channel to accommodate various aftermarket sights. Only thing that might not work is if you use have a beaver tail on the Glock, or weapon mounted light. You can further adjust the passive/friction retention of the shroud by tightening the fastener located in the lower front of the shroud. You can be go as far as loosening it all the way up, so the only retention is with the rotating hood.

For reference here is a Grip Force Glock Beavertail:

[FYI, they make a Gen3 and Gen4, for airsoft, I don't think they've have any airsoft replica Gen4 Glocks yet, so a Gen3 should work. But don't know if the outer diameter of the trigger housing pin is the same on a real Glock v. airsoft. You might ask, why a beaver tail on a Glock? Well, if you have a high purchase on the gun, or have meaty hands, you can often get slide bite, not so much an issue with airsoft, or full size Glocks, but I've been bit a few times shooting the compacts and sub compacts as well as other people - enough so that some one spent the time to make an aftermarket accessory.]
