M4 with a shotgun

Just curious if any has ever done this adding a rail mounted shotgun to underside of the hand guard ( like a M203 )
Would kinda of badass for CQB

it is called a "masterkey" setup I believe some kits we're made for airsoft but are rare and/or expensive.

EDIT: yup G&P makes one

They are rare since shotguns are already rare by themselves, especially if you remove the TMs and clones from the equation. They are good performers, but are the most underwhelming guns out there. They are light, plastic and I can really see some stress on whatever mounting solution since the pump needs some force to crank.

If you opt to gut a TM/clone shotgun, it's going to be more aesthetic.

If you want to do it properly, you'll need to source a gas shotgun.

Then you need a mount, and you need to shorten the shotgun.

Bottom line, either it's going to be complicated, aesthetic only or functional but hair-raisingly expensive.

What's wrong with using just a crossman walmart shotty painted black lol. Shotguns aren't even that effective vs. everything else anyway, but it would look dam sexy

It would do just fine, but if you handled one you know the amount of force you need to apply to cock it, so whatever mounting solution you find will need to be able to take it.

The easiest solution would be to buy a cheap 'm3000+' shotgun from walmart, cut it up and mount it somehow. It wouldn't be a shotgun, but it would be a close quarters backup at most.

I have done it. I like Frankensteining my clear/crapsoft for wall hangers. The M4 is tactical force, the shotty is a Wall-Mart S&W police version

TM's have a metal barrel, if you did it again you could use a walmart clone and it'd be a little lighter.
