PTW MK18 front set
For all you PTW guys, which brand of 9" MK18 front set are you guys using? I am looking for a higher quality and real steel front sets are not a option. Looking to build a second upper and would like some feedback on what you guys are using before I make my purchase.

the madbull/socom gear mk18 RIS should fit with no modifications.

The madbull one will fit but you will need to buy the special delta ring made for the RS (G&P) thread size IIRC the standard AEG version is packaged in the box and will not fit on the PTW's threads.
Also madbull is the licensed producer of DD parts so you know you're not getting a crappy knock off clone. Last edited by sushicake; July 15th, 2011 at 21:26.. |

I can confirm that the madbull one fits on a PTW out of the box. I bought one about 2 months ago and it went straight on to my PTW, no problem.

Yeah, you don't need an adaptor, although on mine I did have to add a spacer (rubber O ring) because the threads would bottom out before the rails were tight.

The socom gear Ris II fits out of the box without any mods.

Will a D-ring or any rail ring that fits on a d-boy fit on a PTW? I know they won't on a G&P, KA, KWA...
