BB choice

Hi,

recently, I purchased a 6.01mm raven(PDI) inner barrel for my L96. Basicaly, my gun shoots at 450fps. Before, I was using some crossman BB's but it dommaged my barrel. So, I really need to find a new kind of BB's that is good for my L96 spring rifle. I would like to be shure that it won't break my gun, that it will be very accurate and that it will fit the power of my gun.

Could any experienced sniper tell me wich mark of BB's should I use and wich caliber please?

thank you for all your help!

Yeah, its going to be relatively critical now the quality of ammunition you use in that gun. With that tight of a bore you will be restricted to high quality bb's. .30 or heavier (calibre is 6mm regardless) BB Bastard or other high quality brands will be your best choice.

I've no idea what the rest of your gun's internals or like, but it sounds like you'll need to do some upgrades in other areas as well to really make that gun work like it should.

the one time I won't openly recommend BB bastards to someone... it may just be in AEG's .. but I've seen alot of 6.01 barreled guns have jamming issues with BB bastards

however I've seen people with Bolt actions using 6.01's and running heavy bastards and having no issues what so ever.

If Stalker says Bastards for sniping, you buy Bastards...

Definately BB Bastards, I've run about 15 different brands over the years, and the only BB I use now are BB Bastards, been running them only for about 4 years now.

Hell ya, I've used just about every type of sniper BB over the years, started with Straight 0.30g and 0.36g (not that great, but were the heaviest available at the time), the superb 0.29g Maruzen Grandmaster and Super Grandmaster BBs (picture a box of 500 for almost $30), then went for the .30g Bastards when they came out, liked them but wanted heavier, told Scarecrow to look into 0.34g BBs, he went to 0.36g and 0.43g, sent me some samples for testing (http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...light=bastards) and decided the 0.36g were the best all around sniping BB I've found yet. The 0.41g are too heavy, at least for my set up (400fps and hop up set full), so have gone through a few bags of Bastards on poor souls (Invasion got the worst one, headshot from 150ft through two windows.......)

I personally use .43g Madbulls in my DSR-1.... but I have never had a chance to use BB basterds as no one sells them out this way.

I run black ones as well. Doesn't give away your position but kind of a bitch to site in.

I've ran Bastard .4's through my PDI 554mm 6.01mm in my VSR for over a year now, absolutely no problems and the consistency is unmatched.

I've found at 415fps the .4 Bastards underhop with the stock hopup rubber, but they hop nicely with the Nine Ball one.
