sorbo pad separation

I installed a sorbo pad in my kwa 2gx gearbox and adjusted area of engagement like in amos' video but my problem is the blue part keeps separating from the black part. This is the second pad installed from then I got them at tac11. Would it have anything to do with the non ported piston head?

I know for a few dollars more I could have got the whole cylinder head but I thought these would be going in two different guns.

Shouldn't have anything to do with the piston head not being ported.

This is the pad you're using:http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=1354

I had issues with one before and Tirador recommended Loctite 480 but also suggested an alternative since I couldn't locate loctite 480

try to ask in the shoe repair shop. im sure they have a super glue for rubber,,thats the best glue for sorbothane.if they can glue your sorbo pad to the cylinder head that would be a great.

Yup that's the one. I do have shoe glue but it's the wallymart kind. Would it be possible to just use the blue portion of the pad?

P.s. How did you reply so fast?

Alright well now I know something is definitely weird. I left just the bluee part of the pad in the gun and left the black part out. My fps went from about 380fps to 410fps (It sat in the car during the zombie game. Sadface.) I have no idea whats going on.

without seeing your setup, it's likely because you're getting a hair bit more air down your inner barrel since your cylinder has more volume. or while fiddling with it, you sealed a leak.
