VSR Clone Feeding Issue
Hey Every one,
I have my friend's VSR clone in front of me. I believe it is a JG Bar-10, and he bought it from ASC over a year ago. Anyways, the problem is, that when you insert a magazine, the second you pull the bolt back to cock it, any where from 1-25 BBs flood into the hop up chamber and barrel. It is the gold (Laylax?) hop-up system, and after reading about it, a hop up bucking is not required, as it comes with one permanently attached to the hop-up adjuster arm (what does this look like? All I can see is the two flanges that look to hold the nub, but no nub whatsoever). We have tried every make of magazine in the gun, and it still does the same thing. What are the reasonable fixes? I have done every thing I have read in other posts to no avail. Any and al help is appreciated. Thank you, Hux |

I think there's a part inside the hopup like a black U shaped thing with a spring connected to it. Mine ended up double feeding, and replacing the spring got it to feed correctly. Otherwise it sounds like a bucking issue. (mine is a stock hopup though)

I could be wrong as I deal more with l96 stuff but the gold laylax hopup is so you can use aeg barrels and buckings no?

That is the nub. It will use the rubber bump to absorb the BB. Makes for a more consitent, but sensitive hop-up unit.
You still need an AEG barrel and rubber. Quote:

Agreed with Krap check the U shaped restraint inside the magwell if you havnt lost it try streching the spring a little or replace it i had the exact same issue i replaced it with a bic pen spring and it works like a charm now and no more feed issues, Another thing you can try is when assembling the rifle hand tighten all three screws that hold the stock to the barrel then starting with the last barrel screw ( the one closest to the barrel tip) tighten it first then the one by the magell and then finaly the one by the trigger this also solves a misfeeding issue.

hi folks
So Hux ended up passing it over to me, the Gate was worn on one side which would allow 1 bb for move forwards enough to let the remainder skip past and backwards into the Bolt Chamber. I bought a Used WELL stock hopup and pull the gate from there, Its installed but now the rifle will feed one into the barrel and the second seats properly, when you push the bolt forward, the 1st bb rolls out the barrel and the Second is in prime shooting position. (i didnt want to strech the sping before the game and Completely take the Rifle out of Commision) The rifle is out at Claybank. If you know how to Fix it and you are there, Find the ESS group and Talk ask For Kevin. I am sure he will appreciate the assistance. I did make a Tiny little spacer and when he comes back I will intall it with the Spring and see if the increased spring pressure makes a difference More info to follow Sv

ive had this issue 2 ways only one is forgeting the liltle lip in the hop unit with the spring. the one folks wer saying could be worn the othe is from tryin to use an AEG hop rubber with the stock barrel, the rubber is too short and allows etra bbs to feed into the barrel and or into the magwell and stuff
edit an easy way to notice this is that the cyl head will not make a good airseal with the hop up cause its too far away when the bolt is pushed forward, can see it in the mag well, the tapered part of the cyl head should fully go into the hop rubber

although you can use a stock VSR hopup rubber in the PSS10 hopup with an AEG barrel,
It as you mentioned, you cannot go the other way around. For the record the airseal is fine as the rifle chronos at 496 avg FPS.
