Overseas Accessory Buying/Shipping?
Hey, so, I found a part that I'd like on one of the Hong Kong retailers, and it's not in stock anywhere on the Canadian websites. It's not a restricted part or anything, just a mount. I was wondering, since some of you have more experience buying small things like this overseas, how much does the shipping cost on average? I ask because I'm wonder if it'd be worthwhile for me to buy a little more.

Ask them if they willing to ship it through air mail. I usually do that if I want a single item.

Go through their checkout process and see how much shipping it is.
Isn't that hard. |

Depending on the site, anywhere from $4-$160

It's pretty well always worth it to buy more once you've started.

Tarobear,
You should of asked me because I do alot of group orders with people in the GTA.. Shipping is much cheaper than buying individually... I just recently placed a big order at ehobby yesterday for a few friends of mine. I usually place orders at most of the big retailers in HK.... |

would there be any additional fee's with HK stores like duty or brokerage? Is that only from the US?

There is always a chance you will be charged additional fees like duty or brokerage.
It really is up to customs and if they open up your shipment and decide on its value. I believe under $60 is safe for no duties... Or maybe it was $25 :P Anyhow, same situation as US I guess... Sometimes you do, sometimes you don't. Although I have US shipments are usually more prone to duties. Brokerage fees I usually only see from Fedex, and UPS ground shipping only... (In the past it did happen to me with USPS/Canada Post, but not recently)

Anything outside Canada could be subject to brokerage and taxes.
