WE GBBR, Real steel charging handle

Tonight I managed to get my hands on a CF Issue C7A2 charging handle, I put it in my WETTI M4, it works fine with one minor issue. It seems the WE has a little block peice up on the front under the hole where it would interact with the Gas tube on the bolt on the RS AR platform, my RS handle doesn't have that, I suspect that part interacts with the WE bolt in a manner that pushes the the charging handle back into the fully forward position

The RS handle doesn't have that added bit, so I suspect that's the reason for the charging handle not returning to the fully forward position.

anyone here have any experience with this?

Yep, confirmed it, the little block mates in with the cutout bit on the top of the bolt at the front in front of the roller bit. I know how all this works, honestly, I'm just no good at explaining things and don't the the propper names for these parts.

Anyone worked around this before?

that was posted here aswell But I can't find it.

That might help you out, It seams the RS charging handle needs to drop down a bit lower (like you mentioned).

No Problem glad to help, Im looking at buying a WE m4 soon here and I came across it in my pre purchase researching haha.

If you still have your stock charging handle, compare it to the C7 charging handle so you can get a better idea of what has to be modded .

An alternative is to put a roll pin into the steel bolt carrier.

A thicker pin in the steel bolt carrier will last longer than a smaller pin in aluminum.

Especially if you want to treat your WE like RS, yank as hard as you want.
